This is a very cool little tavern. It is exactly what I think of when I hear "tavern" - a small, dimly lit, humble establishment that provides a miniature refuge from the world.
They serve very good pizza here. That is primarily what I come for. They also have a good number of different beers on tap at any given time, which rotate out every so often. When "the boys" want to go out for a drink, it is always between Churchill's and this place, and we prefer the Horse.
Servers are friendly and even held my coat and food, which I forgot, for half an hour until I called and came to pick them up. Prices are reasonable.
No bad experiences here so far. Nothing fancy, as intended.
Based on the previous reviews, I rather expected to like the White Horse more, but even so the place is A-OK. Â The service was rather indifferent, but the pizza was good, as were the bread sticks. Â I also had a Michigan salad (they called it White Horse) that was decent, and Hubby deemed his French Onion Soup (they called it onion soup au gratin) decent.
