Excellent atmosphere and food. Service was quick and exceeded all expectations

Deceptive name; the beer selection was the most cheap crappy beer on a list I've seen in quite some time. (With Beer Co. in the name we assumed craft beers would be served. 2 were. Otherwise, lots of Labbatt, Bud, Coors, etc.) Food was fine but nothing to write home about. Won't be returning unless it's the only place open on a holiday.

I've enjoyed eating at this restaurant for many years. We go about 7 or 8 times a year and since I found something I really like that I've never seen anywhere else, I always get it - the Buffaloaf Melt. This sandwich is made with Buffalo meatloaf on grilled rye bread, pepperjack cheese and red onions. It is a delicious sandwich. In fact, my mouth is watering just thinking about it right now. I think we'll be going there for lunch tomorrow. The decor is neat - like a northern lodge. The waitresses are always friendly and keep your drinks filled. I have also had the Bar-B-Que ribs with Jack Daniels sauce (yum) and the Buffalo Meat Balls (also in Jack Daniels sauce) as well as their Caesar salads - all good.

We've tried several different menu items over the years and every meal has been good to date.  The Fish & Chips are real popular this time of year and they also have a decent Mac & Cheese as well. They have good burgers and the steaks are tender and tasty.  They have a decent Prime Rib Special on limited days and it is better than average.  I'm going with 3 stars with a possible upgrade in the future and I'll be back...

This place was pretty cute. It had a lodge feel.  Very airy and open.  It was decorated very nicely for the holidays.  You can tell a lot of regulars go here, and really love the place.

    The food was decent.

The kids selections were enjoyable, though they definitely try to seat kids out of the way of foot traffic.

    Drunken buck dip.
It's all you need - a good cheese dip made with Bass Ale that has chunks of venison sausage and seasoned chips. I've never heard anyone say they didn't enjoy something they got here, though.
They have buffalo burgers, which is pretty cool. Fiancee enjoyed his pot roast sandwich au jus. They don't have bass ale on tap anymore though, which severely disappointed my mother.

Went here for Super Bowl last night as I and my buddies have been here many times for SB but not for about 3 years. It was just as I had remembered it, a lively crowd, good beer specials, free food at halftime, and prizes given away. It's a fun atmoshere and a good time was had by all.

I find it quite amazing that a chain of restaurants that have the same menu can be so different.

Beaver Creek is Ok. Nothing super special but nothing terrible either. For a place that has "Beer" in their name they don't exactly have a wide selection. I tried to order one of the three craft beers they had but alas they were out.

The food was decent. Nothing I would go back for. We ordered the Wild Thang app and the buffalo meatballs were good but the rest seemed bland and a lil overcooked. My pasta was mediocre and I actually found it tasted better the next day.

I wouldn't tell you to avoid this place but I wouldn't recommend it either.

While the menu was enticing the execution was depressing.
I had serious high hopes for this place but I was disappointed.  Everything was not only under-seasoned, I am almost positive there was no salt or pepper in the entire establishment except for the shakers on the tables.  However, service was above average and the management made rounds so we will give this place another shot in hopes that they take this review under consideration.  The restaurant was also very clean and well dressed for the theme so it does have potential.

I had a couple decent meals here and one lousy meal accompanied by lousy service. Haven't been back since.

Love this joint!  While its easy to miss once you locate which drive to turn into you'll never forgot where your going and always coming back!  The decor is like a rustic cabin in the woods.  Full bar, lots of big screen tv's for game watching, megatouch games on the bar oh and some great food that you can't find just anywhere.

My top fav foods here are the porterhouse.  When the porterhouse is on their specials always order it!  Delicious flavor and value.  You'll take over half of it home for lunch the next day.  Another fav is the bison burger.  Moist, flavorful and light.  This burger tantalizes the taste buds and is leaner than a typical burger.  Also good - the Ranchers Salad, Creek Fries, Mac & Cheese, fish & chips  and their homemade soups.

Drinks are reasonably priced.  This place is a blast on NY Eve!  No cover to get in on NY Eve which is nice and the place is hopping with live music, free champagne and noise makers.  Call at least a week ahead to reserve if your going for ny eve.

I'm a food and design fanatic, so normally would not rate this place highly. But I live a mile away, and it is my best option. OK food; I suspect a lot of Cisco & GFS pre-made, re-heated food items that the managers picks out of a catalog, but perhaps not as bad as a chain.

The ambiance is very drab: an up North ski lodge that has not been updated since 1985. It's too dark, and the window are always blinded shut. there is a patio deck, but it is walled off from the inside, keeping them in different universes. But I don't go for the food or the design.

I go for the tap Guinness combined with an amazing happy hour, tended by a truly friendly staff. Guinness goes for $2.50/pint:
    M, Th: 8pm - close
    F: 10pm - close
    Sa: noon-5pm, then 10pm-close
Su: All day, including during football, playoffs, and Superbowl.

This makes me a fan, even if the food and ambiance are blah.

In-laws raved about this place but it fell a bit short. Granted it was a holiday weekend (rather sparse) but the first two beers listed as being on tap were unavailable and the same was true of an entree selection. The Wild Mushroom soup was good.

I have been going to Beaver Creek Tackle and Beer Co. for years, and I can say that everytime I walk in, I notice something new.

When you first walk into the foyer, there are pictures of thousands of dogs on the walls with their names under them.  The Doggy Wall of Fame, if you will.  I love it!  Upon entering the main area, you will find a very rustic, up northy feeling establishment with 2 fireplaces that are open on either side.  The furniture is rustic also.

In the summer the patio is open which is decorated with flowers.  A very nice touch I must say.  In the winter they have a 'Beach Bash" where the waitstaff wear bikinis and there is a bunch of sand on the floor to give the illusion of a beach.  They give you leis and there are tiki torches everywhere.  It's a very fun time indeed!

The food is great, the atmosphere is very cozy (although the place is large), and the service is outstanding.  The only drawback for me, being an avid animal lover, is all of the wild game trophy mounts on the wall.  Believe me, you will NOT be dissapointed here!

Be aware of this:  if you order the Nachos, you will not get a plate of nachos, you will get a PLATTER of nachos piled about 8 inches high!  I LOVE the Creek Fries (potato skins w/ bacon and scallions) and the French Onion Soup is some of the best I've had.

Make your way to Beaver Creek...it is sure to please!

I am banging out a 5 star for this experience for a few reasons...

One because this is a great place that is unique.
Two because the staff was very friendly (all of them).
Three because the food was awesome.
Four because the prices were decent.
Five because they had a great beer selection!

We stopped in not really knowing what to expect, and I can tell you that we were very pleasantly surprised from the second we walked in.
It is very rustic and had a lodge appeal all the way down to the moose head on the wall to the two fireplaces, making it feel very comfortable!

A couple of pool tables, many tv's jamming out all kinds of sports, and one of those crane thingies where you can get yourself one of those great squishy toys!

About 10 types of beer on tap, and many other lushing options.

The food was prepared well and the clam chowder is the absolute best I ever had, the burrito was very good as well.

The oddest thing I saw was the fact that the john was uber-small...and I am telling you there was a toilet and a little tiny sink. I have seen larger bathrooms in motor homes.

Other than that one little thing, I am still granting this my highest rating of 5 bangers!
This places will be a lot of fun for a group of people to hang out and have a good time!

    I will be back!

This is the sister restaurant to one of my faves, Deadwood. This locale is closer to our house so we decided to give it a whirl this afternoon.

They had draught beer on special for half off. My husband was happy about the Pabst Blue Ribbon option as he is old school. They also had tall and tasty margaritas for 6 bucks.

We got an order of creek fries and were pleased with them. Thick cut potatoes covered in cheese, very good bacon and green onion served with ranch works for us. I think the potatoes could have been cut a bit thinner myself but all in all very good indeed. Small plate but full of goodness and plenty for us.

My husband had the fish and mac special. Three pieces of lightly coated meaty and fresh cod served with a little bowl of excellent baked mac and cheese. I liked the tastes I had and he was very pleased indeed.

I had the jerk chicken pasta. Not jerk at all but creamy with quirky spices and sundried tomatoes. I liked it despite the misnomer. The grilled chicken was moist and flavorful and the penne al dente with the zippy sauce. It was served with nice garlic bread too.

Service was very friendly and attentive, we liked sitting in front of the fire and being able to see the TVs with some football on too. The clientele was varied between late twenties up til fifties. A lot of people seem to be regulars. It was very pleasant.

The drinks are reasonable and nicely poured, the food tasty and plentiful, the atmosphere very log cabin charming. All in all a very nice stop. We will be back.

I've been here many times and I'm a fan.  They have a pretty broad menu, as far as bar food goes. Very generous portion size.  I usually get the pulled pork bbq sandwich.  But I have tried many things on the menu, and I've never been disappointed.  Many TVs here, and in the right places, you can pretty much see a tv anywhere you sit.  Beaver Creek is always a good time.

My brother used to work here and was a cook. He said that he'd actually eat their food, so to me, that's a good thing! I like the atmosphere of the place, but I don't like seeing all the people that I went to high school with.

I've always loved Beaver Creek Beer and Tackle Co. Since I moved to the Westland, MI area in 2005, it's been a regular spot for me. "The Creek" is part of a family of independently owned and operated restaurants in Michigan. Other spots are Troy's "Camp Ticonderoga," Northville's "Deadwood Bar & Grill" and Bloomfield Hills' "Moose Preserve."

The Creek is the most Northern Michigan-like of all the woodland themed restaurants, which for me is fantastic. Here you'll be treated to a wide variety of game food and classic American fare. I always, always, always get the venison chili, which is a real treat. Other wild-game dishes at the creek include Buffalo Burgers, Deep-Fried Rabbit Ravioli, Duck Tenders with Sweet and Sour dipping sauce and Boar Sausage.

My favorite meal is the "Roadkill Grill."

No, it's not roadkill, it's a game platter. The kabobs are pieces of venison flanked by bacon, onion and mushroom. You also get a quail breast and some boar sausage alongside a mess of hunter's gravy, wild rice and fresh corn. If you enjoy game food, as I do, it's absolute perfection and will definitely fill you up. Even though it always stuffs me, I end up getting venison chili, just because I've never had it better anywhere else.

The restaurant itself is laid out like a hunting lodge, has lots of big screen televisions, animal trophies and fish lining the walls. It's comfortable and feels like a lot of the bars and lodges you'll find in northern Michigan, with big cathedral ceilings, rustic pine furniture, pool tables and stone fireplaces.

It also has a great outdoor garden terrace area that's open during the warmer months. The prices are very good considering much of the food is of the game variety and there are plenty of options for those looking for a great salad or a burger. Not much in the way of vegetarian fare though.

For my money, what makes Beaver Creek such a great experience is the staff. The restaurant is incredibly well run. A manager always, without fail, comes out to ask how your meal is and if ANYTHING is unsatisfactory, they are always quick to rectify it. I've NEVER had a bad meal here, and never felt like I wasn't getting the service I deserved. Entrees range from $9.95 to about $17, but you can get a buffalo loaf sandwich, burger or big salad for $6.99 and up.

    Great spot.

I'm surprised we haven't been here more. When we've gone here, we've always had a good times and good food. When we went for a friend's birthday party, the staff let us bring in a birthday cake for her, which was a nice touch and appreciated.

A highlight is the pool table and video games which are good for entertaining younger brothers or bored boyfriends. Everyone can have a good time, whether or not they're there for the company.
