Went to Bella Mia with some friends to enjoy an Italian dinner. Â I was surprised to find out that they once again have new owners and are changing again. Â It is no longer an Italian restaurant but featuring more seafood dishes. Â I ordered the OssoBuco which is usually a veal cut. Â This was made with pork and was very tasty. Â Not the best I have ever had but not bad none the less. Â I would consider coming back to see how the menu develops with the new direction.
Review Source:Only thing going for them is happy hour appetizers. Â Food is over priced and everyone acts like they've never worked at a restaurant before! They had a special on Mondays but did away with it. We called ahead and was told by a girl who answered the phone that they still offer the special. We got there and the server said "no we don't offer that anymore". So instead of getting ok food at a great rate, we got overpriced food at an overpriced rate. Average $20+ per person at dinner. Save your money. Go to Pier 57.
Review Source:Bella Mia  !!!!!! after reading all the review's..we were hesitant to go however there we were........food was okay !!! service okay .!!!!..wine list OMG get some help.....ended up drinking house wine ...because we don't drink beer or cocktails with dinner......
This place has so much ambiance just beautifulll sitting on the water with boats in the background .......
there was entertainment....he was not to bad really old music (not everyone in Bradenton is old anymore) he looked like he just got off a fishing boat is there not some sort of fashion rule when u r the entertainer in a more upscale restaurant???????
Oh and guess whaaaaat  he quit at 9:00 PM Sat Evening .....really!!!!!
Some of the staff couldn't wait for us to finish and get the hell out...... I think one of those people was a MGR or perhaps owner..her  body language was so obvious that she wanted to go home.......
Please read these reviews people we want you to succeed so we have some awesome experiences in the future......
Worst possible experience. After having visited, and loved, Bella Mia Pizza, we thought this was a given. The food was overpriced and mediocre at best. Service was terrible - our waiter made a mistake about our order and said it was "too late" to fix since the kitchen had put it in the oven. Then, we asked for bread and never received it or an apology. Honestly, customer is NOT treated with respect at this terrible establishment. Don't waste money or the gas to get there!
Review Source:Went for the happy hour specials intending to stay for dinner. We arrived 15 min before happy hour ended and was told we did not have enough time - Our waitress said she couldn't get the order in fast enough. We ordered anyways after a woman in my party made a fuss about it.
The food was gross! Dinner was gross too and way over priced.
You can get a better meal at any of the chain Italian restaurants.
Staff appear to all be new to the restaurant business. Hostess didn't have a clue...she seated us without walking to the table, which was missing flatware and napkins, then did the same with two more tables. Waitstaff were sweet and courteous but untrained and made multiple rookie mistakes. Food was overpriced and unimaginative. I think Carraba's has better food at much lower prices, and similar menu choices.
