Bernie's Beach House

We went during the day when all the locals were there. At first it seemed uncomfortable. I've realized that the locals are the only ones not nice in this town and the look on their faces when we walked in wasn't welcoming at all. But after a few minutes we started talking to the people around us at the bar and they were extremely friendly. I guess they had to realize we weren't annoying pains in the butt first. Although the bartender was extremely nice and seemed like a cool dude. During the day they have dollar drafts. The bartender, Richard warned us that they weren't the coldest but they were only a buck. We thought they were plenty cold for being a freakin' dollar. Our bar tab was under 10 bucks and we had an awesome experience. We were told it's all younger people at night and it's extremely packed, but that's not really our crowd so we weren't interested in going back at night. The bathroom situation seems to be the same everywhere. One tiny bathroom for the entire place, which sucks. I almost peed my pants waiting for an old lady to get outta there. I'd go back for sure though!

Wow what an awesomely bad place to go for a drink. My second Port A bar was a total disaster.

Even before the place filled up it was hard for myself and my friends to get a drink after it started filling up it was impossible. Black lights, smoke and bartenders ingnoring you is not a good combination and totally pushed this patient person to the limit.

We high-tailed it outta there to somewhere that would serve us and did not have so many blacklights and cheesy '90s music. Blech!

Some girlfriends and I went looking for a good time on Wednesday night, it was really slow and the bartender looked as if she hated her job.  There was a group of really drunk guys and the doorman made sure that they got off safely. On our way out he even stopped us asking who would drive. We all thought it was very conciderate, and sweet that he genuinely wanted us to get home safely! I can definitely see how this place would rock on the weekends. :)
