Wow, people from Redding appear to have extremely high standards (which is a little surprising based on the fact that Redding appears to consist of nothing but giant strip malls filled with chain stores), or are possibly confusing B&Es for a high end nightclub, or something. I came here with a large group of friends who had gathered in Redding the night before we were due to pick up our rented houseboat on Lake Shasta, and we had a blast. Cheap drinks, beer pong, decent music, not too crowded, no stabbings or shady behavior to speak of. Come with a bunch of friends, expect a divey/quasi trashy atmosphere, get wasted, and you'll be just fine.
Review Source:As much trash is talked about this place I've never had a bad time nor any issue here. This place is very laid back. I'm very fond of the beer pong tables being set up almost all the time. Their patio/smoking section is heated which is very nice during our chilly evenings. Their bartenders are very friendly and make fantastic drinks. They are reasonably priced plus you don't have to wait FOREVER for a drink. They have changed the interior of this place and it seems like they are in the process of upgrading the bar. If you are looking for a dance club, this isn't exactly the place, but there is dancing and space to dance. Tuesdays is always beer pong night where you have the chance to win prizes. And Mondays is Karaoke night, which is always a fun time. All in all this place is very comfortable, I've never experienced a problem. Just like every bar/tavern/club everywhere there will always be someone who isn't comfortable with the place. But like I've said I've never personally had an issue with the patrons or the staff.
Review Source:how are you gonna have a
cover charge? we walked in at 11 and found about 11 people there. I felt like I was partying in a rapist's basement. and just the attitude in general, fools
were trying to act like they were at the hottest hiphop club in Vegas. And did I miss a dress code that every dude has to leave his sleeves at home for this? I don't leave my house to go pay for drinks so I can check out all the tribal tatoos redding has to offer.
Starker Club of Redding (S.C.O.R.) made a recent visit in the day to Bert and Ernie's mainly because one member had never been there and he will never go back. The best description to use was trashy and dirty with a dog running around all over the place. The bartender could best be described and not being a bartender. Not sure why this pace has been listed as a place to go in Redding but may be it is a night pace not a day place. The best description we would give it is a dive not a bar to go to in the day. This is our first one beer out of a six pack rating S.C.O.R. has given but it is well deserved!!!!!
Review Source:This place is like my living nightmare. Â To the point where I was frantically texting everyone I knew within a 50 mile radius to please come get me.
Firstly, this is the only place I've ever had to pay a cover to get into in Redding. If I have to pay to get in, can we at least throw some new paint on the walls? Â This place looks like a rented out warehouse on the inside. Â Whatever. Â The hip hop music was cheesey (although I'm a fan of the 90s throw backs, there should be some limit on how many 112 and Jagged Edge videos that can be played in a night).
The collection of characters in this spot was pretty interesting. Â There were definitley a group of DTFs dancing like they were having seizures in the corner... Â a few girls who looked like they had just walked off the set of a 1950s movie shoot... Â several tweaker sub-groups... a few random selections from the older crowd... Â and of course, my favorite, the awkward creeper-lurkers that followed my friend and me around the "club". Â I begged the guy who brought us there not to leave us alone for too long but inevitably we were put in some real uncomfortable situations. Â Needless to say, it was my least favorite 25 minutes I ever spent in northern California.
One of Redding's trashiest dance clubs that has a cover charge. Â
Despite quick and genial service provided by the bartenders, this is not a place that can achieve higher accolades through bar service. (Though they have always screwed up my friend's Liquid Cocaine orders)
As others have mentioned, this place is a real blight on Redding's Hilltop strip. Â People constantly leave wasted and drive home and local shops are constantly vandalized by B&E's "patrons". Â
The interior is incredibly dirty, and once the dance floor gets going, it gets REALLY dirty. Â It's one thing to have a hopping dance floor, but having 40 year old women on top of the floor speakers doing their "sexy" dance is not my idea of fun. Â My friends from Sacramento are constantly amazed that this is a place where people come to dance and/or drink.
I have not been there for any of the live bands, but the regular DJ has always disappointed; the DJ is just a guy who sits in the corner with iTunes playing R&B from 10 years ago.
Yuck!! What a dive!! This place needs to be closed down!! I've only drove by but too many people are either injured or killed by going into this disgusting place in Redding. They don't care if they serve to minors nor do they care if people leave wasted. ABC Â needs to shut the doors to this grouss place!! Â Its a disgrace to Redding!!
