Loved the atmosphere, beer, and people here - even on a Tuesday afternoon we had great conversation with the others in the bar. Â Everyone was very friendly.
No food, just some snack items (which were meh - I mean, crackers and a tub of fake cheese is an option?)
If we lived up in Woodland Park, this is definitely a place we'd be headed back to, based on the beer & atmosphere. Â As it stands, we head up from the Springs every so often and will probably be back.
Woodland Park, somehow you always manage to impress me. I don't know what it is, maybe I come to WP with low expectations. It's really not the top of my places to visit list. If you find yourself in the area stop here (for what reason, I do not know)! Sample their beer, get a pint, and have a seat! The fire pit outside is nice in the evenings. When I come to WP I never really know when I get to come to BierWerks. It just happens. It's really a matter of how long we've been in the field. The tireder and hotter we are, then the more necessary a cold beer and a chair becomes. On several occasions we were lucky to catch some live music, both outside and inside. Probably weather dependent? On cold days the mulled wine hits the spot, warming me up from the inside and overcoming me with a spicy Christmasy feeling. Oh yea! If you're into things that move and swing...The child in me loves the rotating steins on the ceiling... I don't know why, but when that thing rotates, I just can't contain my giddiness!
My last two cents:
1st cent - They usually have a food truck, I've only ordered from the bbq one before, not bad, but I'll stick to just drinking here. I think the pizza one is overpriced, and again I'll just let the beer sustain me until dinner.
2nd cent - Purchase a bierwerks growler!! The logo is incredibly adorable. A bear, drinking from a stein?! So cute. I always fill a growler to go, what else is there to do at night at camp? Last time I was down here, I forgot my growler at camp. So I'll be replacing it the next time I'm in WP.
