Big Foot Inn

I've lived in Washougal for several years, but I managed to miss this little gem until recently.  The all-you-can-eat fish and chips (available Fridays) were some of the best I've had!  Light homemade batter, served very hot, very little grease.  I believe the fish is fried in a broaster.  The establishment is a bar, so kids can't enter, but you can purchase food to go.  Friendly staff.  A cheeseburger I purchased for takeout last week was above average.

Bigfoot is a LOCAL hangout, with LOCAL people that is a little on the red-necky side (no offense)... but if you don't believe me, they had $1 drinks and have a rack of pocket knives for sell at the bar. No shit!

The bartenders are very friendly and they knew almost all the patrons names... well, everyone except mine, and they asked my name when they served me...  not pushy, but really genuinely friendly people. Cute too!

Then comes the decorum... Wood panel walls, 1977 barstools, a wall click made out of wood in the shape of a big ass foot and nascar on the TV

you can't buy ambiance like this... well you can, and it will only cost you a buck or two...

So I'm pretty sure this is just a high school reunion in the making everytime I come here. It is one of the few bars in this town though, so it makes sense. I was able to avoid it at all costs until a few months ago. Now I have been several times. Overall the experience is alright, nothing spectacular.

The bartenders are friendly enough and if you know them, which you probably do because it is the 'Shoug afterall, you can get a stiff drink. I have yet to try the food though.

Everytime I have come in here there is karaoke. I thought for sure it was only ever running on the weekends but I've heard rumors that it can happen any night of the week. Beware though, I have only come across good singers on a going away party. Needless to say, all the girls singing were in choir and one was leaving to start a country singing career. Everyone is tried to see songs that they didn't know many of the words to. It didn't work so well...
