Shaken Martini Lounge

Absolutely horrific service! Been here about 4 times because my sisters liked the variety of martinis to choose from. We all got fed up with the service though! Very inattentive and drinks come out very slowwwwly. All 4 visits they messed up on one or more drinks and the last time we all went we all ended up with $100+ charges on our cards for what should have been $10-$30 charges. They fixed it after a few calls but still was quite annoying. Won't be back for sure.

We had high hopes when we saw this place opening. There aren't a lot of choices in Troutdale. We gave this place a couple opportunities to impress us, but they failed and we won't be returning.

Some of the drinks are tasty and the food was always good, but this gets severely overshadowed by their poor service. Their staff was rude and condescending and made for a very uncomfortable environment.

I'v seen some mixed reviews for this place on Yelp! There's not much to choose from in Snoutdale, so after a gorge hike last week I popped in for a drink.

I can't comment on the food as I didn't eat there. I also can't really comment on those sugary sweet appletini/cosmo/lemondrop-esque vodka concoctions that are so popular with college age women--although I do see that such concoctions are readily available. Finally, I can't comment on the night life either (I was there on a week day afternoon).

I can say this though: The place has a loose James Bond theme, so many of the martinis are named after various Bond actors and characters. I ordered the "Timothy Dalton", which is a "proper' martini (i.e., made with gin rather than 007's signature vodka). Bombay Sapphire. Shaken, not stirred (of course!). With a twist of lemon. And it was absolutely perfect. Cold, dry, piney, citrusy deliciousness. It may well have been the best martini I've ever had in a bar anywhere in the world. Yes. In Troutdale, Oregon. Go figure...
