uhh..noooooooo
Ok..first off they have a chime to let the server/staff know you have arrived..we weren't ever greeted. And there were staff in the kitchen staring at us but no waitress.my hubby had to go find someone to help us..then it was the bartender who came out to help even though there was only one other occupied table in the whole place, the bartender( friendly) said the waitress was busy in back. Huh?...with what?
Secondly, we asked for coffee..cold and windy wisconsin day and we were in the lake area..so yum..sounds good right?
NO..it wasnt..The coffee was luke warm..the metal creamer pitcher was covered in this thick dusty sticky substance(man i wish I had taken a picture!) that when i ran my finger along the top came off in a disgusting film on my very unhappy pinkie! GROSS..Jim looked at me and grinned..he knew this was going back..the bartender returned and he said..Uhh.can we have a clean one please?..she obliged..rinsed off the top without emptying it first and brought it back..SIGH
Ok..the menu board teased us with a cream of potato soup option..oh hell yeah..on a cold day..GIMME GIMMIE GIMME..:) we were informed(20 minutes later by a dishevled miserable waitress) that there was no soup today and none had been made that week..Did I mention soup was 4.50 a cup..i guess they dont make it cause no one in the right mind pays that much for soup..which usually comes in an abundance of heavenly goodness in wisconsin diners!!
Did I mention a layer of dust/grime on the other tables was so thick we could see it from our booth in a dimly lit room..it was apparent that no one cleans..or does side work in here..
All being said..yeah we left..I would like to add i was excited to go in here because it was a neat looking building on the lake..and al the neat mob pictures/news clippings ect looked interesting once inside..what a dissapointment..Maybe its a good night life place in their seperate bar?
Fuh-gedda-boud it.......
