Met up with a friend here before returning to good old Parkview High to watch a drum corps practice. Since it was my first time at this location, I asked her what was good, and she immediately said to get the buffalo chicken dip. Shut the front door! That was the best advice I'd heard in a long time. Even a week or so later and I'm craving that dip. What is in it? I must know!
I ordered the rueben, and it was okay. Nothing too spectacular, but when you have a rueben, why try to improve on something that is perfect the way it is? The fries were good, and my friend really enjoyed her burger on her 'cheat day' of her diet.
The reason why I'm giving three stars is because service was just okay. I felt like our server could have been a bit more attentive, especially letting my water glass and my beer bottle get empty before acting.
Other than that, I enjoyed myself.
And I still want some buffalo chicken dip!

It was typical bar food in my opinion.... a good selection...but ultimately it's a bar.

Location on Republic Rd, We will NEVER go back! We walked in, the sign said "seat yourself", we did and were never acknowledged by an employee. We thought maybe that area was closed so we moved, sat there for 20 MORE minutes and was again NEVER acknowledged by an employee. Walked out, will never go back. After tweeting and facebooking about our horrible experience we found out SO many others who also received horrible service or no service at all. Is this really how they run their business? The only reason this is getting one star is bc the option to put a negative is not available.

I enjoy going to this place when looking for some excitement. It does offer good vibes. However, one time I was charged for a stale beer when the server told us other people were complaining about it. I didnt drink it and they wouldnt remove it.  Otherwise, this is a great place.

Took my dad here while he was in town visiting. We had an awesome time. The place isnt too loud and the waitresses have always been friendly and prompt with their service! We had the fried pickles and southern egg rolls...amazing!!!!! Our drinks were yummy too :) I'm a fan!

It was ok. Classic American bar menu but little more. Atmosphere was very much like a bar, which is fine but it bills itself as more than that. Kids seemed to like the burgers and fries. I had the buffalo wings, for which they are apparently known but I can't figure out why. Mine were overcooked and what most people mean by "buffalo" is not coincident with Big Whiskey's definition. More a BBQ and sweet and sour mix, which some people may like but which is not what people mean when they say buffalo.

Burger, fries, and salad with ranch.  Classic pub grub with a great beer selection.

We like this South Side location of Big Whiskey's. Good food, great drinks. Happy Hour is great. The chicken quesadilla on the app menu is really good especially during Happy Hour when it's 1/2 off. Have also had a zesty guacamole chicken sandwich and it's was really good, too. Definitely get enough food. Fun sports bar atmosphere if you like that. Service can be spotty when they are busier. We have sat in the bar area during happy hour and were pretty well taken care of.

We went to the new location of Big Whiskey's on the Southside of town. Not bad, but not fantastic. The server couldn't name off the 16 tap beers, and, when asked what microbrews they had she didn't know what a microbrew was! LOL!

Six of us shared the Big Whiskey Nachos and Loaded Potato Skins, and then I had the Lemon Pepper Chicken ($9.99 for chicken breast, rice pilaf and a steamed veggie medley), another couple shared a Big W Club (they loved it) and another couple shared an All American Burger (good). My chicken was over salted, and a little dry, but okay.

They do have a great HH (code for Happy Hour), 4:00-6:00pm Monday - Friday with 1/2 off all appetizers and some drinks too.
