Just OK.
With reservations we got seated right next to the bathroom. The food is priced higher than it should be for the quality. The live music is really good, but the night we were there the singer had his young daughter there and it just isn't seem appropriate.
Going back again tonight and hoping for a more positive experience.
A great reason to have a party!  Mom's birthday!!  I wanted somewhere nice...not too loud...not too commercial...(I sound like Goldilocks, huh?)...anyway, the first place that came to mind was The Bistro.  It's moderate in size, subdued lighting, live music on the weekend, great food, nice staff, great ambiance....perfect.  It was a hectic week for me and I was running at full speed when I approached the folks at The Bistro, but they hooked me up.  Trina, the manager, was great.  She talked me through some food options and we quickly came to some great choices that tied in very well with each other.  Apparently, my mom is the belle of the ball, because all but 2 people showed up and it was a great night.  Tables were arranged between two big barrels to accommodate the appetizers and bites.  I was more than satisfied with the display, the selection, the service...just everything as was everyone else...the evening was a  hit.  I think I only had a round and a half of baked brie...from all that food.  Trina even took care of us the night of our event.  We brought our own cake in and Trina helped us "stage" it next to the appetizer table.  Everything looked warm, glowy and beautiful.  I brought gifts for the guests (some customized wine bottles) that looked picture perfect on the barrel...  There were so so many details...bottom line...it was top notch and my mom loved her night.  Thank you to Trina and her staff for making it such a special night for my mother.   Oh...and a special nod to Avi for providing such amazing music and singing Happy Birthday to my mother.  So...2 for 2...Two visits...two great times!  This is a habit I could get used to.
Review Source:The Bistro is a higher-end, separate restaurant that happens to be upstairs from the Country Folks Deli. Â They have an amazing wine list, a rockin' menu and a fabulous staff. Â I was there on a Wednesday evening, ordered the pork, and my glass of wine. Â When my server brought me some bread, I mentioned I had a wheat allergy--and she immediately went back to the kitchen to see if the pork was wheat-free (without me asking or prompting her to). Â She returned quickly to my table to tell me that the pork is breaded in flour--even though the menu says nothing about that--and came with some recommendations of other plates. She saved me from a night of hives and other skin rashes--and I was doing a public presentation for 45 people the next day!!! Â I'm so grateful for the service here and how she went out of her way for me! Â I ended up ordering the blackened ahi tuna cobb salad--omg it was sooo good! Â I give this place five stars for the great food and great service and saving me from a really embarrassing situation!
