A great place for dinner and drinks with friends. The beer list is above average and the food rarely disappoints. The pomme frights with housemade sauce never last on the table for very long. The nachos are served in a very large portion and are great for a group of 6. The veggie pizza is very tasty and best shared with a friend or fella. Once I had an Andrew's Garlic Chicken sandwich and wasn't much of a fan, but the side of sweet potato chips were very tasty.

went on restaurant week = Not recommended, they were overwhelmed.  The food was sub par for portion size but the quality was good.

As far as the drinks go i can approve this bar.  The prices are acceptable for what you get but there are a ton of theme gastro pub type places around the area.  Its just too far from me for me to want to go again.

I dont want to give tis place a bad review because the staff is nice if not overwhelmed from what i can tell.  eh.  i give it a meh.

Honestly, if I could give this place 1 and 1/2 stars I would....Unfortunately, yelp does not allow half stars so I went with one star.  I went to Black & Blue tonight with friends for restaurant week.  After a 45 minute wait (where we were bumped for an 'A Lister' who took our table before us) we were seated at 8:30pm.  We waited until 9:15 for our appetizers which consisted of seared tuna and mussels which should not take 45 minutes to make.  Our salad which consisted of 4 - 5 lettuce leaves took another half an hour.  I had ordered a veggie burger (not part of restaurant week) the other 3 at our table who ordered steaks from restaurant week all go their meals and I had to wait another 20  minutes for my burger (which ended up being a frozen patty - so why it took that long is a mystery)  The manager did offer us a free drink to make up for the fact that my meal came after everyone else at the table had finished their entrees but seriously we should not have been there for 2 and 1/2 hours.   Not coming here again....sorry at a restaurant you pay for good service too.

Always great beers on tap, and the food is excellent.

Ah, now THIS is a bar.

For a while now my friend's have told me about this joint and let me know it was a "hit" for food or beer but I never made it, mainly due to the location (we will get to that later).

Well, I finally did. Oddly, it was completely random, unplanned and nothing short of awesome!

    The bar/booze:

You walk into the bar/restaurant and the small area has an awesome chair made from a tub in it and you know...it's going to be hipster but kick ass. Enter the bar area. A sexy black bar top, with red lighting and a center draft area gives you a good view of everything. A chalk board with animated drawings outline what is on tap that evening as well as what bottle specials are on. As you look over the list, your mouth starts to water at the craft beer selection. It's riddled with Weyerbacher, which is a great local brewery that makes tasty high ABV brews and other familiar favorites like Troegs. I was grinning ear to ear when I noticed Goose Island Matilda on draft, which I proceeded to order. I also tried the extra unique J.W. Lee's Harvest Ale aged in Lagavulin Casks...yeah, read that again...SICK beer list.

    Food:

The food is what you would expect from a bar, nachos, french fries, wings but everything is done RIGHT. Plenty of vegan options, but frankly...does anyone that matters really care about that?
The wings were so good, fried, not battered and huge. The nachos had homemade tortilla chips as well as homemade chili on top. The blackened tuna bites were decent but not worth the price. Overall, the food is straight forward but done, so so right.

    Service:

Hipster bar needs hipster help. Cool and funky servers and bartenders attend to your needs and will gladly help with beer or drink options. They will offer a sample of a draft beer if you ask and will talk about the menu honestly. Great service.

Location (only reason this was given 3 stars):

Ah, the only but major flaw of Black&Blue. Terrible neighborhood. Regardless of being near the courthouse, it's an unsafe neighborhood, especially at night. No real parking, which leaves you walking a block or two to park, already in a crap "hood". They should just bite the bullet and move into SouthSide Bethlehem. Plenty of hipsters to welcome them and oddly, more safe.

Don't let the location break your spirit though. They are certainly worth the effort to drive out to Easton. Eat, drink, be merry. Cheers.

Number two on the Beermuda Triangle (#1 being Porter's Pub and #3 Two Rivers Brewing Co). Food is good, very nice beer selection, nice place to have one you haven't had before. Found the atmosphere fun. They have some old style mixed drinks from back in the old days, which uses Absynthe.

I could sing praises about Black and Blue (formerly known as Which Brew) all day and night.  The dreadful day when Which Brew closed, a part of my heart was broken - no, shattered.  Skip three years later and like a phoenix, it reincarnated itself into Black and Blue.  I'm pretty sure I heard carillons sounding off in the distance.  The dimly lit, Victorian-esque interior is sprinkled with zany touches along with some fun tunes playing in the background.  The setting is ideal for a libation or four.

I must admit that I'm very biased at this point.  I adore this bar.  They carry an impressive rotating selection of craft and Belgian beers on tap (and many more bottled) as well as a full service bar.  The food menu is well priced and really tasty.   And those amazing nachos!  I kid you not; they make the best damn nachos around.  Every layer of the house made tortillas is covered in toppings.  These are how nachos should be made.  I also highly recommend the tuna bites and Margherita pizza that are crazy delicious.  The food menu does change up every now and then depending on what's available so simply ask if you're unsure what to order.  The folks here are super friendly.

Speaking of which, the staff is also what keeps me coming back.  They're all knowledgeable, efficient, and do their jobs well.

The only slight downside is the location.  It's situated in an area with very limited street parking but I haven't encountered any problems with that as of yet.

Black and Blue rocks.  I only wish I live closer!

The atmosphere and beer are great; the food is decidedly pedestrian. It's a beer place, basically, not a gastropub. As long as you go with that in mind....

So much fun! Started with the nachos, then had the black and blue burger; blue cheese, cartelized onions and bacon with shoe string fries and it was all delicious! The staff was friendly and a lot of fun.  It was " zombie pub crawl" night so the atmosphere was definitely fun!  We will definitely be returning! A unique and entertaining experience!

I was not impressed with my visit: long waits for food, extremely limited food menu, and overpriced beer.

My BF and I went here tonight for dinner for the first time.  First off we walked in ahead of a group of 5 guys but the hostess ignored us and immediately asked the guys where they'd like to sit.  Another woman, who must have seen the disbelief on my face, came over to take care of us and sat us near the bar.  At first we were surprised how limited the menu was for dinner but we decided to give a new place a shot.  We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees.  For starters we got the falafel sliders and some risotto balls.  The risotto balls looked good but were cold, the falafels were tasty but again only a bit warm.  We both ordered the blue cheese bacon burger medium.  Mine came rare and my BF medium well.  The waitress never even came back to check on us for me to tell her it wasn't done to our liking.  The fries were pretty decent and so was the beer selection and the atmosphere was kind of cool but doesn't make up for the not so good.  Needless to say we were not impressed and will not be going back there to eat.  Porters will remain our go to awesome food and drink establishment in downtown Easton.

If you like to be mistreated and overcharged, Black and Blue is for you.

We met friends here Saturday night with the expectation of Which Brew's revival. Apparently, we expected too much. From the snarky bartenders to the disappointing food, we left dissatisfied and will not return.

My boyfriend ordered a Java stout and the bartender informed us they had run out of it, but recommended one off the beer list without informing us of the price difference. Our friends, who arrived after us, tried it and liked it and ordered it as well. We were absolutely shocked to find out the beers we had ordered were $12+. Our bill came to $360 (including tip) for 6 people to share appetizers, sandwiches and a few drinks.

The sandwiches were small (we were not told by our waitress they should not be shared even though we ordered them to be), the mussels tasted completely unseasoned and the nachos were nothing in comparison to the Which Brew ones. The frites were okay and the one person who ordered a burger was not complaining (although he had to ask for crumpled blue cheese for his black and blue burger instead of the dressing that was offered).

So, if you'd like to leave a restaurant feeling monetarily and emotionally 'Black & Blue', check it out.

Yikes. Up in Easton for a show at the State, my wife and I decided on this place after hearing good things. After a short wait (that could have been shorter had the staff just moved their butts clearing off the table), we ordered an app and two entrees. The app, an Octopus salad was actually quite good- refreshing, spicy, and memorable. Here's where the problems began, tough... We then waited 45 minutes for our meal, even after explaining that we had a show to get to. The table across from us (which came in after us) got their food before us... Which turned out to actually be OUR food! No one on staff apologized or said anything to us but it was abundantly clear what had happened. A simple acknowledgement could have salvaged this visit. Instead, they fired our food and had to give it us in to-go bags. We will never go back here, and the 2-stars are merely for the Octopus salad and decent beer selection.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere- dark, comfortable, blues-rock hovering in the background.. Awesome selection of beer and wine. The staff was excellent; our waitress was extremely knowledgable and friendly. The food was good (great for bar food), but the menu was a bit limited. Definitely recommended!

This place is great - fun atmosphere, friendly staff. Always great music playing - indie/alternative and perfect for the atmosphere.

We loved the old Which Brew beer bar (the same owners) and were happy to see them reopen with this place. Not sure why they did not keep the old name since this place is essentially the exact same bar food, beer, and decor-wise.

Great beer selection, though the majority is on the dark, heavy, strong side, they do seem to have a few milder pale ales etc.

The food is still great and cheap! Though the menu is a bit smaller than it used to be, they should have something for everyone.

Parking is a bit dicey. Not the best neighborhood and street parking is the only option but we have never not found a spot.

And still good service too. I can't think of a better beer bar in Easton.

I used to dislike this place but now its winning me back over. They have a long list of beers which is interesting, plenty of mixed drinks and food as well as courteous employees. My pitfalls for this place are simply its location and parking.

Cozy, Art Noveau ambience with handsome wood appointments.  Plenty of options for seating - the bar accommodates many people, or you can opt to sit to the side for a cozy table experience. The beer selection is extensive. Wines are delicious. Authentic early 21st century cocktail list... must try one. Absinthe is served in the traditional manner. Menu is one of the best bar menus in the area. Pommes frites are where it's at. The staff = the best. Highly recommended.
