This place really chaps my ass, because it has nothing to do with anything Amish. They have quesadillas, use electricity, and the people are just regular Indiana-ans.

It's not bad, it's not good, it's just kind of there. Good things I remember were the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and the pulled pork.

If someone figures out what "Amish Spread" is - please let me know...

Killer fried chicken. I don't know what they season it with but I like it.
I never eat from the buffet here, I always get it to go, so I can't say any thing about the buffet.

They do have a take-out counter in the lobby/shop, and they also have a drive through window.

A two piece chicken dinner with two sides cost about $5.00 or $6.00.
The only sides I ever order are mashed potatoes with brown gravy and green beans. Both are good.

Take-out dinners come with your choice of home made bread, role or cornbread.

If you're looking for that good southern home cooking with that amish flare, then this is your place. They first opened in Washington,IN and now have one in the south, Evansville. Many claim that the one in Washington is better as the true amish are working that one, but i didnt really notice any differance.

Only a buffett here which is perfectly fine with me, all the more food. For 13 dollars you get all you can eat mashed potatoes, corn, meatloaf, and dessert amongst other things. The food is really good and will sure to fill you up and the staff is friendly too. The people working here want to be here and it shows in the service and smiles.

    :)
