There were 6 of us and my toddler that went here a couple of Fridays ago around 6pm. I really wanted this place to be good; it's in such a great location and the atmosphere of the place seems decent. But let's be real - the food is terrible and the service is seriously lacking. Â
Let me start by saying this place is not for kids. They don't have booster or high chairs and the wait staff just didn't know how to handle a kid. My one star has nothing to do with that fact though.
Our waitress was friendly but she seemed to lack the common sense that is required from the job. She seated us and took our drink order. When she came back with the drinks, she ran off before we could tell her we were there to eat and we had to find someone to ask for the food menu. Once we got our menus, she was completely unfamiliar with our questions (such as, 'what kind of fish is in your fish tacos?'). I will say that she was on top of keeping our drinks refilled, but other than that she was soooooo slow and seemed more interested in talking with her co-workers at the bar than serving us.
On to the food. For appetizers: The chips and salsa are terrible and small. We ordered queso with the chips and neither the chips or the queso were warmed up. The salsa looked and tasted like tomato sauce. Â One of our friends ordered the wings. I never heard from him if they were good or bad.
Salads: basically you get a bunch of iceberg lettuce with mediocre dressing. No toppings are included. And please don't order the salad called The Aquarius. I was told by the waitress that it was big enough to be eaten as a meal. She was wrong. It was the same exact size as the side salads but they charge $11 instead of $4 for the 3 shrimp that they add on top.
Main Dish: the burgers seemed decent. The fries tasted fine. My husband got the pasta primavera that he called 'bland' and 'forgettable'. I ordered my Aquarius salad and had to eat more food when I got home because I was still hungry. Note: We did have to ask for ketchup and mustard that took our waitress forever to get.
The whole terrible experience took over 2 hours. We were the only table eating dinner. Everyone else was drinking at the bar. This place would be great to go to watch sunset and get a drink but that's it. Don't waste your money on the food! And don't be in a hurry to get in and out of the restaurant.
We give this place no stars!!!! I wish we could give it negative stars!!!!!!!! This ap makes you put a star to post. Â I wish I could go back in time and not eat there. The only thing worse than the food was the service. Service was ridiculously slow, food was nasty and non existent. We were there for over 2 hours! The place was empty, She came once in the very beginning took 30+ mins to bring our drinks and then was never seen at our table again for like an hour. We didn't get our food for another hour after ordering and we were literally the only table in there beside one or two other couples tables. Food was wrong GALOR!!! Chicken fried steak was said on the menu to be "best you ever had" it was truly closer to the worst I've ever had!!! Items ordered were never served but they charged for them anyways. Â No side salads even brought for almost everyone at the table but one person. Bills were all completely wrong and way over charged. It was a BIG FAT NIGHTMARE/JOKE!!!!!! The manager took 20 minutes to show up after we asked for him several times. He didn't seem to really care about the issues his establishment was having. We are never going back there again. For food or otherwise.
