It was great to try their food at the Hudson Hops and Harvest celebration in Peekskill this past weekend. The pulled pork was pretty good but the relish and pickle made the meal. I look forward to visiting the restaurant soon!

I'm not a BBQ connoisseur, but this place was serviceable enough. Think they're trying hard and the pulled pork sandwich was fine and adequately juicy and flavorful. One of our group was from Kentucky and she was underwhelmed, but whatever, it's New York BBQ and it was tasty enough for me

Food is nothing special, everything an average cook can make on his home BBQ grill on the back porch.   Service is completely rude.  I called in for a menu and they told me they don't have a website, they don't fax menu's, and before I could order verbally without a menu he just hung up on me.  So, I called him back and asked if he hung up on me or was the line just dropped and he said "ohh I thought you needed a menu, not to order.... but if you did think I hung up on you and you called me back then you are pretty foolish!"   Unbelievable!   I will never go there again nor recommend them.  Furthermore, I will actually go to the extent of telling people not to go there.  When I did go there the greeting at counter was non existent, and I had to say thank you first to get a thank you from them when leaving.  Only come her when its more convenient than traveling to Holy Smoke BBQ up the road, which is excellent.

This place is still open since the last time I went here, so I decided to try my luck again.

What this place might be - Boston Market clone, WingStop wannabbe or a local sandwich shop.  What this place isn't - a BBQ place.  Only 3 menu items brisket, st louis ribs (not babybacks) and pulled pork claim to have been smoked.  I dont know where the smoker in this joint is but you can't smell it in the store or taste it in the "smoked" meat trifecta.  Brisket sandwich was soggy and the wings were overcooked.

BTW, cash-only for anyone who decides to venture to this establishment.

Once again, Food is Good, Owner and Girl at counter are not unless they know you. If my son didn't like the chicken in a bag so much i would never go back. VERY UNFRIENDLY UNLESS THEY KNOW YOU

I'm a big fan of food. Bob's hits every nook and crannie on my pallet. Corn bread stuffing, chicken ranch wrap, BBQ pulled pork hands down amazing. Staff is friendly and the owner is welcoming. He was trying out new concoctions in the kitchen and let us try them. They were deep fried mac and cheese bites. They exploded in my mouth like flavor grenades! Will be going back, just wish he took credit card. No one carries cash with them! Get with the times BOB!!!!

BBQ chicken wrap was OK, but would benefit from less sauce and bigger and juicier chicken. The tiny chunks of fried chicken just did not cut it for me.

Lots of choices, so I will head back for another try

I've gone twice.  I'm a fan of their St. Louis ribs because I like dry ribs a great deal.  I like the sides, but they need to cut the salt back a lot.   Prices quite reasonable.  Cash only, no credit cards.

I went here because I was in the mood for some baby back ribs and some comfort food on the side.  I left disappointed.

The baby back ribs were very tough and did not have a lot of meat on them at all.  The sauce was pretty good, but that was the only positive.  I will say that the cornbread and cornbread stuffing was pretty good.  The service however was not very good.  All in all I won't be going back here anytime soon.

Food is outstanding!  Especially the chicken salad club sandwich and the buffalo chicken salad which are my favorites.  Cash only which is very inconvenient for 2012 but it's worth the ATM fees.

I went here because I wanted barbecue but felt I had gone to Holy Smoke too often.

I wish I had gone to Holy Smoke again instead. The "fall off the bone" ribs were tough and chewy and the Mac and Cheese had less flavor than Kraft. My boyfriend's pulled pork sandwich was comically large and had some weird coleslaw with yellow stuff on it.

Their cornbread was great, which is the only thing that saves them from a one star rating. I threw out the Mac and Cheese and gave my ribs to my cats. They seemed to enjoy them, but they also lick their own butts so I wouldn't trust their opinions on food.

I've gone here mutliple times and I still want to try more items on the menu.  My favorite is the chicken in a bag, and it really is a heafty portion of boneless breast meat with a helping of fries.  I usually split it with the my sister and the only horrible part is waiting for it!  Love the BBQ sauce and have passed this place on to other family members who have also become big fans.

If you're looking for something different and affordable, and don't want a sit down resturant nor a fast food atery clogging night, definitely try this place because the food is excellent and the prices are pretty decent too.

Beef brisket was good, but we had to specify when ordering it without all the cheese and add ons that seems to be the standard. Also the bread that it normally comes on is sandwich bread which seems a little light to hold such a heavy meat. We ordered extra bbq sauce which was a relief because it was a little on the dry side. The onion rings and the fries were just average. Not planning to return here because it is just a run of the mill type of place although in an area as remote as this it is certainly considered a gem.

Bobs B Q is amazing! We've eaten almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. My personal favorite is their chicken in a bag with their house made hot sauce on the side! The fries are crispy and the chicken is actually real chicken, not that gross frozen stuff. They also have incredible wraps. If you not tried Bobs you are seriously missing out!

Great pulled pork sandwich and really good price.  Ribs are nothing to write home about.

When I hear barbeque, I think Texas or Tennessee.  Last week if you suggested to me that I should go check out this little joint up in Shrub Oak, NY for some good BBQ, I would've told you that you are out of your mind.

This weekend, my boyfriend and I were in the area getting some scheduled service done on his car.  Afterwards we check in with his cousins (also in the area) to see if they wanted to grab some food with us.  They suggested that we head to Bob-B-Q's, as well as several items on the menu that were for sure not to be missed.

We drive over and at first I'm unimpressed.  It's a small, unassuming looking place... but don't let that fool you!  We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, the smoked brisket rueben, the sweet potato fries, onion rings, and the mac & cheese.  Everything was absolutely phenomenal!  The sandwiches were huge, juicy, tender, and full of flavor.  The sweet potato fries were nice and crunchy on the outside with fantastic sweet potato-y goodness on the inside.  The onion rings are made with this great wet batter.  The mac and cheese managed to be both really cheesy without being to heavy.  FYI, my boyfriend insisted that the combination of the sweet potato fries dipped in the mac and cheese is the greatest thing ever.  I'm not sure how I felt about that particular combination, but I took his word for it.

The only disappointment?  We didn't have enough room to order the cornbread stuffing, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, or the creamed spinach.  I guess we'll just have to come back again.

Bob's is definitely the best BBQ in the area!

I've had pretty much everything on the menu and I'm never disappointed. He won a Best of Westchester award for his pork a few years ago. The pulled pork is very good, but I think the brisket is the best thing on the menu.

Fortunately for my waistline they make great grilled chicken that I get pretty often for a more healthy meal.
