Wife had the chicken and I had the BBQ. Prices to me seemed high for quality received. Staff friendly and if in the area might be just ok. Not a place to goto out of the way for. Chicken had little flavor to it other than smokey and BBQ had too much sauce in it. Â The best BBQ to me is where it's good without sauce and sauce is added for even more flavor. Â If you get the plate meal with drink the count on $10 a person, more if you get ribs.
Review Source:This is a newly opened BBQ restaurant in Grovetown. A I just came in today for lunch, here's what I think.
Food: Great BBQ food, very tasty. I had the Small Rib Plate, which came with a portion of ribs, two slices of bread, and 2 sides ( I chose baked beans and fries). The ribs were           very tender, falling of the bone, not dry at all. The flavor can stand alone just with the seasoning that is on the ribs, but the bbq sauce they provide is also very good and kinda sweet. The fries and baked beans are what a person would normally expect from a bbq restaurant.
My friend had the Small BBQ Plate, which is the same exact setup as what I mentioned above but the main course is a portion of bbq pulled pork. As we both shared I can say that the bbq pulled pork is very tender, which is an accomplishment considering that it is rather difficult to find bbq pulled pork that is not dry, this place knows how to cook it. The flavor had a nice mild bbq flavor to it which can also stand on its own, but adding the bbq sauce they give you is a nice touch also.
Dining Area: not much to it really, there is seating for maybe 50 people. This restaurant is more so designed to be a "To-Go" place but there is seating arrangements if you just want to eat there.
Atmosphere: Very casual and laid back. More so the type of place for military or a guy's guy would enjoy eating at since there is nothing too flashy about it.
Service/staff: The staff was quick and friendly, made nice idle conversation and gave suggestions on what food to get. Also the assembly line style of how you get your food was very quick indeed, no reason why you can't expect to be in and out in under 5 minutes with your meal in hand.
Dessert: You have the option of either Banana or Oreo Pudding. I'm not a pudding fan really but I picked it up to try it out anyways and I am very glad I did. It is a very light "whipped" type of vanilla pudding with some Oreo sprinkled on top. It doesn't sound like much but I am having a hard time putting it down, tastes awesome!
Altogether, good visit and I will be coming back.
