I have been to Bob's Classic a dozen times or so over the past 3 years. I have tried several different dishes (burgers, sandwiches, ribs, chicken). I go in mainly during football season because I don't have cable.
CON's: The food is poor quality, poorly prepared and over priced. I once got a plate of ribs that tasted like boiled hot dogs - GROSS!! Â The beers are served in a glass that LOOKS like a 16 oz pint glass but really is 12-14 oz. And even with that there is usually 2 inches of head on the beer and they don't fill the glass to the rim like a proper draft beer should be.
PRO's: The service is generally friendly. I had a bloody Mary once, and it was decent. They have tons of TV's and they are always willing to change it to what ever game you want to see. The interior decor is cool. The bar stools are comfortable.
Overall, there are MANY other better places in Wenatchee. I should just get cable.
Wow what a shocker. Stopped in for breakfast Sunday morning 11/11/12. Noticed that they had changed the menu and had taken off my favorite item the tiger prawn omelet. Oh well I thought I have had other good things to eat for breakfast here. So I ordered the eggs Benedict. Well after waiting 55 Min's from sit down to food arrival, the hollindaise sauce was runny and the shocker was that the Benedict contained one wafer of ham on each muffin. I'm serious, wafer meat like you buy at the store. I felt sorry for the server, she tried her best but they were obviously understaffed. No more planned breakfast at this joint.
Review Source:This place was just 'ok'. If you appreciate old cars and rock and roll, you will love the decor in this place. The food, however, leaves something to be desired. For a restaurant that advertises itself as a great burger joint, their burgers are pretty basic, uninspired and pricey. While the burgers are large, they are mostly tasteless and consist of pre-packaged, frozen ingredients. Pre-shredded cheese, pre-shredded lettuce, frozen Ore-Ida style fries, stale burger buns... Â you could probably run this place without even having an actual cook on staff! About the only variety between the burgers was the type of meat used and whether or not you wanted bacon added. This place doesn't even have milkshakes, which I always thought was a conventional staple on burger joint menus.
To top it off, service was slow and the bathrooms were run-down and poorly designed. I regret that we didn't just go to Red Robin down the street...
We were there for dinner last week. The service was fine, but my fries with my fish and chips were cold. My husband said his baked potato was cold but his prime rib was warm. He said the prime rib was very tasty. My fish was prepared in such a way that when it arrived it looked like chicken strips (not tempura?). They were a bit salty but tasted good. That seems to be the in-thing for preparing fish and chips lately. I've had them that way before at other places and I don't really care for it. The Olympics were on and we enjoyed watching that. Our servers were fine and have been every time we've been there (about once a year!). I'm going to write another review for their breakfast- it was delish!
Review Source:I avoided this joint for three years because of the car on the roof. I thought it was a 50's place and since I had my fill working in one of those places for two years I had no desire to go in.
But Wenatchee doesn't have a lot of cool eating places. Sorry.
So, we had some time to kill and it was 3:30- a weird time to eat/drink so I said to The Husband, "Let's give it a go."
YAY! It's a great place. A cool sports bar..that has photos of Marilyn Monroe on the walls. (A little confusing, but there's no 50's music so I am happy.)
It used to be 50's because you know, it's been around since the 50's.
We sat at the bar and enjoyed ourselves and then decided to to have the ribs to go...we live an hour away. So we drank our 2.95 Long Island Ice Tea's..and I mean LONG. I couldn't drink it all and honey, I can drink!
So we took the ribs home- one order and shared them. Pretty good for traveling up the Columbia and over the river and through the woods to Chelan.
We shared the ribs, cornbread and I ordered a salad. It was plenty good!
We will be back!
Great atmosphere for sunday football,  but with the amount of great TV's  in the place, sunday nfl ticket is a must!  Happy hours prices are good,so is service,  but nachos not up to par... fake tasting"meat", not enough cheese,  and no salsa:-( On a good note,  steak bites were a nice twist on appetizer menu.
Review Source:I've been here twice, and still not sure what the fuss is about. I've been here on both occasions during dinner time. The first time I had an alfredo pasta dish, which was terrible. . the second time was fish and chips which was OK and much better than the pasta dish. Maybe I'm just not ordering the right thing???
Also be careful of all the sides you order, example... ranch dressing, sour cream, tarter sauce, baked potato toppings... you will be charged extra for each item!
They do have good fried dill pickles served with ranch dressing & Happy Hour which makes appetizers half off. I've been told they have good burgers, breakfast, and prime rib... maybe my 3rd time will be a charm?
I do love how they remodeled the building, the customer service is OK and the parking lot is tiny! Stay with the street parking instead!
My boyfriend and I were on a trip and staying in Wenatchee, so we didn't know the area. Â We told the lady at the front desk we were looking for a sports bar type place and she sent us here. Â We were there on a Saturday night so there were NO food or drink specials, which was a total bummer because I always go for the deals! Â On the plus side, they let me order a beer...and a kid's meal. Â My boyfriend got the 1 pound special burger and he said it was amazing. It also came with french fries. Â I got the kids chicken tenders with fries. Â The chicken was really salty (which I don't like) and the fries were not good (as I am a french fry connoisseur). On the plus side, we got a table right away, however it was very, very loud, but the service was good.
Review Source:I ate breakfast here once per week this summer. Love the decor - you can't beat a comfy booth first thing in the morning - and we always found it very clean.
Service was professional and fast - maybe not overly warm or chatty, but who needs that at 8 in the morning anyway?
Loved the hashbrowns especially, and the eggs Benedict are great. We got in and out affordably and started off our day well caffeinated, as they were quick to refill our coffees and iced teas.
A great, cozier alternative to Denny's or Shari's.
I probably would have only given this place 3 stars if I hadn't gone there with Luke and Carmen, who just moved back to Washington and who I missed terribly.
This place has good food and comfortable, if not sterile ambiance; Â typical old time booths and rails, and all of the Beatles and Elvis posters you could ask for. However, Â the mushroom burger was bigger than a Ukrainian peasant's goiter and very good. Â I couldn't finish it and I'm pretty glutenous under the right circumstances.
Like I said, the highlight was hangin with the old friends. Â Paul Simon should write a song about it, but not with that awful Garfunkle. Â Screw him.
