Bombay Bazaar

Don't judge a book by it's cover because at first Bombay Bazaar really looks like a run down Indian grocery store with quite a few items stocked in the aisle permanently. There is no real place to eat here and if you don't call ahead the wait can be over 20 mins, esp on a weekend night where there quite a few orders for take-out.

So if you're ok with overlooking outward appearances, they make the absolute best biryani (chicken & lamb) I've tried locally. There are restaurants in India that rival their biryani, but that speaks volumes about the quality of their signature dish.

We have tried other dishes on their menu like their butter chicken or paneer matar, but both of those suffered with an abundance of oil. Once you spoon off the oil, the flavors of both dishes was spot on, but based mainly on their spectacular biryani, I give this hole in a wall 5 stars, but call ahead with your order or be prepared to wait because it's prepared fresh and hot every single time.

Do not let the location (inside a grocery store and ambience fool u.. (according to me it's more of a take out place rather than a dine in) Nor should the limited but solid menu deceive u..

If u are looking for some chicken biryani that will make u crave for some more...

If u are the health freak that goes nuts looking at a huge amount of oil.. I wud suggest taking a bite before u judge the food.. It's greasier than the regular stuff u find at most places.

Move over Amber and India sizzling, Bombay Bazaar has arrived!

I love to make curries and I come here for all my spices! Great selection! The staff is super nice and helpful...I honestly don't buy much else here but for curry powder and what not, this place is wonderful! Go there, talk to the staff, ask them questions...I promise, if you enjoy cooking you will get some great ideas!

I know they do sell prepared food here but I would classify this place as a grocery store. Just an FYI, in case you were looking for a restaurant.
