The beer list is great and constantly changing; hands down the biggest attraction. Â It's nice they have activities (darts & shuffleboard) and the food is pretty good, although the menu has some major weak spots..... e.g. the flatbreads. Â Stay away. Â They taste OK, but to charge $9-11 for a piece of frozen pita with some cheese melted on top is highway robbery! Â Obviously a low food cost/high profit item and it blatantly shows. Â Also, the recession burger or whatever the hell it's called.... I mean WTF? Â I'll admit, I haven't had it, but don't mix potatoes with my beef (i'll put fries on my burger if i want), call it a recession burger and then charge like $11 for it. Â F**K you! Â Again, low cost and high profit for the owner, but to water down the meat and still charge premium burger prices is just insulting. Â The meatballs, pastrami and sweet tater fries are all tasty, but again, the beer list is the reason to go.
Review Source:Honestly the 3 star rating is more like a 3.5. I couldn't bring myself to give it a 4th star because some of the pricing is really silly. And some of menu items seem to be tailored more for a Chopped episode than a real clientele. Now don't get me wrong. I love creativity and a little funk in a menu. However some times people over "create" more for effect than good eating. Examples: Shredded potato in the hamburgers, bacon ,cukes, green tomato and roasted red pepper on flat bread with apple butter. Say What? I'll have to go back to try the bacon. My companion had a Caesar salad with fried chicken. He thought the chicken was dry and the dressing had too much anchovy and it was over priced at $13. I only tried the dressing and I can see someone being put off by the intensity of the dressing;and I love anchovy. I tried the slow roasted pork with bourbon glaze. It was tender and slightly sweet from the glaze but not overly sauced like some BBQ. Their choice of side are uncommon. I had a side of pearl couscous with avocado, black olives and red pepper with olive oil. The veggies were tiny and sparse but it was still tasty. All in all a nice combo and value priced at $7.50. I didn't try any beer this trip;as I am on a "diet". But their list is extensive. Another reason to go back.
