Mass Ave Pub

Just went here for a friend's birthday party over the weekend. Nicely enough, since we had a large party of ten people, they allowed us to make a reservation which was nice. It's annoying how many places downtown don't accept reservations for large parties and expect people to wait forever for a table. I had the mushroom swiss burger and it was delicious. Good quality meat, cooked perfectly and I really like their fries. They are big steak fries with the perfect amount of crispy-ness. My husband got the pork tenderloin sandwich and said it was one of the best he has ever had. They also have a good selection of craft beers as well as local brews as well. It isn't that busy for dinner service earlier in the evening. We ate at 6pm and there were plenty of tables open until the time we left at 7:30. After we left comedy sportz later that evening, however, around 9pm, we walked by and it was very busy. Overall, great local place for a good burger or sandwich. This place is 21 and over, so unfortunately, you cannot bring in children.

Strong drinks, good service, great beers available. Friendly people.

This is one of our places on our work lunch rotation.  So much better now that the smoke is gone.  The staff is very friendly and attentive which is nice!  The food is good and varied.  I can get a salad when I want and the other guys can get good old fashioned pub food.  They have a nice frequent eater card too!
