Saw some good reviews for meatballs. Braved a snowstorm to get there. Pay for the valet, it is worth it as parking is scarce on the street EVEN with the snow. The chopped salad is wonderful. A little bread dipped in olive oil, the Pinot I ordered... Devine. I kept it simple the the spaghetti and meatballs. The later are good, I would not necessarily rave about them. The portion was not excessive; however I was quite satiated after consuming most. Relatively quiet atmosphere, if you had fellow diners a conversation would be easily engaged. The service was good and not intrusive.
Review Source:Tried Lorenzo's during the Winter 2013 Devour Downtown event. Â The four course menu looked amazing but sadly failed to meet my expectations. Â Â I expected amazing and got 'meh.'
The highlight of the meal was the restaurants signature meatballs. Â These were delicious . . . Â I'd even go back to just have these with a glass of wine. Â This was followed by a chopped salad. Â The presentation was beautiful but there was something lacking in the dressing. Â Â For the third course, my boyfriend and I got different entrees so we could share. Â We selected the chicken picatta and the Baked Ziti alla Vodka. Â I'm not sure what sauce was on the ziti but it wasn't vodka - obviously disappointing! Â Â The picatta wasn't but I do need to note that it was an incredibly small portion
Our server, Sarah, was amazing - and on her first night!
