    Every aspect was perfect
My wife and I just went for the appetizer happy 😊 hour and half prices carafe of house 🏠 wine 🍷. The atmosphere was typical Italian, nice a quiet though likely because of the time of day. The bartender was spot on with everything, all of the food hit the spot and came out timely (though it was 4pm and not busy).

I was really hoping this was going to be a new place we could add to our regular rotation.  We made reservations and were promptly seated when we arrived.  The place looks clean and has a nice decor so I was still happy.  The wait staff was friendly but it did take a little longer than I would have liked for her to stop at our table.   I ordered a rum and coke, my wife a martini.  A long wait later the drinks come out, my was made with diet and her dirty martini was anything but.  We were served some bread and what could best be described as a quarter cup of sliced/ground hot house tomatoes on a plate.  Whats that all about?  Things were getting a little worrisome.  Not wanting to go for one of the many spaghetti dishes on the menu I ordered the lamb with polenta and my wife choose a filet oscar with polenta.  While she enjoyed her dinner I was left wanting.  The lamb I was served could not have had more than 3 ounces of meat between two chops.  The rest was all bone, grizzle or just fat.  NOT what I would have expected for $32.  A second round of drinks were ordered followed by a shared brûlée as desert.  One of my favorite parts of a brûlée is cracking the top with a spoon.  The dish I was served was not correctly prepared and the top was more like thin soft caramel.  There was no crack to my brûlée.  We paid for our excessively overpriced meal and left.  Looking back I was really hopeful this would have been a better experience.  Maybe it was the items I ordered, maybe it was the cook that night or perhaps Iozzos has solved the front of the house but the back still needs some work.  If you do happen to go I hope your experience was better than mine.

Food: Fantastic! I ended up going there for Devour Downtown and bought the Lobster Ravioli's topped with shrimp in a tomato sauce- delish! The bread/salad was wonderful. The Cannoli for dessert was GREAT and I even ended up getting a nice glass of Moscotto (not sure how that's spelled) wine. The man ended up getting the Filet Mignon, caesar salad, broccoli and cauliflower and a scoop of spumoni and it was cooked to perfection. ABSOLUTELY worth going to!

Customer Service: Wonderful. We had a gentleman who's from Italy serve us. Very pleasant, sweet man. Loved the professional yet warm approach he had with us.

Atmosphere: Quaint, quiet, semi-romantic inside. It was too cold to be outdoors but they have a great outdoor patio area with lighting. It looked really nice.

For the price of the meal, the hospitality and the atmosphere...I recommend Iozzo's!
