After researching online for  a pizzeria to go to in Indy, I decided to try Pearl Street Pizzeria before heading to the Pacers game yesterday evening. The place itself isn't bad nor good, looks like any other American style pub/restaurant. A plus was the waiter, who was fast, nice and friendly and the price is ok. However I have to give this place only two stars because of their food (which is the main reason why I would go to a pizzeria). Me and my girlfriend had a 12 inches Greek-style pizza and farfalle with vodka sauce. I am originally from Italy but lived almost six years in the US, so I am aware of the different quality and style of pizza in the US and in Italy. The pizza was ok, really nothing special and the crust, hand tossed, wasn't really that thin as a brick oven pizza I had in other places. Overall I'd give the pizza a three stars. However, the pasta (farfalle) was bad. The sauce was sweet, almost tasted like there was curry in it and the meat was not of good quality. It was not even remotely Italian and we ate only half and left the rest on the plate. I think if I want pizza or pasta I will try somewhere else next time
Review Source:I love this place. It's my go to spot tto meet friends after Pacers games for pizza and drinks. Just had the Buffalo Chicken Deep Dish for Lunch and it was great. Toppings taste very fresh, it had some serious weight to it, cheeses were a great blend (blue cheese & mozzarella). Crust was a tad greasy like pizza huts deep dish but still had good flavor (I prefer the crispier cracker crust of Chicago Style restaurants so this just may be a bias). Staff is friendly, place is clean, no smoke stench embedded in wood.
