One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at!
I must have sounded ghetto as shit when I walked in, looked around and said, "WOW! I sure am glad I picked this place!"
Service: Great; Decor: Great; Valet Parking: Awesome Bonus!; Concierge Service: SUPER knowledgeable; Rooms: Small, but great looking...
Swimming Pool? FAIL! It's about the only thing I'd add to the place.
Overall, count me in to stay here again and again.
This is a cute little boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Indi.
Pros: The room was large, the bed was comfy, there are tons of cable channels, free bottles of water, the service was great, and the location was excellent. I was within walking distance from Lucas oil stadium and the mall is literally next door. There are also tons of restaurants around the corner.
Cons: The building is old, the elevators are small, you have to request an iron, and the continental breakfast is not really breakfast. It's just some pound cake/mini muffins they put out in the lobby with coffee/tea.
Overall, Â it was a great hotel for me, I loved how close it was to the mall and fun bars like "tastings" and "libertine". I wouldn't mind staying here again because of the location and friendly service.
After the Circle of Lights ceremony, we invited our guests back to the Canterbury to enjoy the common space and have hot chocolate.( there were two 18 year olds in the group, I ask the hostess in the restaurant/bar area if that was possible. She said "well I am the hostess, but I'll see what i can do". ( I thought to myself, well that would be nice :( ......) 20 minutes later, she came back to our group and said, we don't have any hot chocolate, the morning shift has not ordered it. ( Really? its the holiday season ).....I said ok, could we please have coffee for 6?  a few minutes later a server from the restaurant approaches us and said " excuse me I am the server, she is just the hostess, can I get you anything? I again for the 3rd time ordered coffee, with a side shot of Baileys with one of the coffee's. ( Hubby is  getting agitated, it has been an hour by now). My husband  gives the hostess $20 and says "thank you for your time, sorry for the trouble, we are fine".  A few minutes later here comes the coffee! It was cold as Christmas! No Baileys! Accompanied with a bill for $22 !  This is not about the money. We were embarrassed, as we had talked the place up to our friends and wanted to share it .  We could have stayed all week at any hotel in Indy but we wanted the "Old World Style" of yesteryear and the service to go with it.  We should have walked across the street to Stake N Shake and got the hot chocolate ourselves!
