Where's the meatloaf? In my belly, that's where!
This location has a fantastic and uber friendly staff that's quick and very pleasant every time I stop in for lunch. The restaurant is clean. The food is hot and good. I only wish it was a little cheaper. The meals can get pricey for lunch, but with the broad selection of side dishes and ever growing options of meals it really is a nice alternative to the typical fast food options in the area.
This Boston Market is near where I work, so I tend to go here from time to time. Â I used to really like this chain back when it was Boston Chicken, but it seemed that around the time the name changed they eliminated a lot of the unique side dishes that they had (and, thus, eliminated me as a regular customer). Â Lately, I have been giving them another go of it and they aren't bad, just not as good as they used to be.
Most recently, I have been getting the Beef Brisket Dip Carver with a side of new potatoes. Â The brisket is just okay in my opinion. Â I do wish that they would slice it a bit thinner. Â In my opinion, it is the bread is really takes this sandwich from being simply mediocre to very good. Â It could be a great sandwich if the brisket was better.
The problems with this location is that communication with the staff can be difficult at times and they have messed up my order in the past (although they did correct it when I brought it up). Â It seems that they are trying to move slightly upscale with an attempt to do more for the dine-in customers. Â I like that they now use real plates and silverware for dine-in, but having them get your drinks and bring your food to the table seems to have resulted in a longer line of people waiting to order. Â I think that I would be happy if they more closely emulated Panera Bread and just used real plates and silverware and still allowed customers to pick up their own food and drinks. Â Maybe I just witnessed a glitch in the switch to this new model, but I think that they need to hire a few more people to give this level of service.
At nearly $9, this is a pretty expensive lunch in my opinion. Â I probably wouldn't say anything if this were less than $7 or so, but I suppose that there is a bit more overhead in maintaining the sides that they do have. Â If the brisket was a bit better and more thinly sliced I would probably feel that this was a pretty good deal even at $9, but as it is it is just okay.
