If you are into the young, hip bar scene, this isn't the place. However, I'm not - and this is my favorite "hole-in-the-wall" bar for one main reason: the food. I'm pretty sure I've been there enough times that we've tried 90% of the menu and I've never had anything that disappointed. Drinks are typical but good and priced well.
I only hate when they play music because it's ALWAYS too loud. Not to be a hag in my 20's, but it's not a young crowd so don't pretend that it is. I go for a relaxed atmosphere and good food, which you'll definitely get most of the time.
Surprisingly good. Don't often have burgers these days but the $5 Monday deal was too good to refuse. I had the Black and Blue Burger (regularly $8.75) - it was great. I also added a salad (crisp and fresh) and a Redd's ale (cider - really good). Service was good and my waitress was excellent. Planning to go back Thursday for the all-you-can-eat crab (really??!!! In Michigan??!!)
Review Source:A group of 8 of us went in on a Tuesday for lunch and were happy to see that it was $5 burger special day! I had a monster of a burger with fried egg & bacon on it (actually 4 of us had the same burger). It had just the right amount of burgery goodness (not to mention greasy cholesterol)! I couldn't finish it AND my fries as well. The burger could have used a little seasoning (salt & pepper) while on the grill, but other than that I was happy & full. I'll certainly be back for lunch, and I'm eyeing the AYCE crab legs on Thursday nights!
