I have eaten here many times. Â I have always overlooked the cleanliness issue because the food was very good. Â Today, I ordered lunch to go. Â When I got about halfway through my little cup of corn, I found a buttered fly. Â Yum. Â So, I went up there. Â The manager was rude to me before I even got to the counter. Â She was checking out other customers and I had no intent of making of a scene. Â So, when she asked me what the problem was, I politely said I would wait my turn. Â She asked twice more and got the same response. Â When it was my turn, I simply opened the container and showed her the bug. Â She promptly took the little bowl and threw it in the trash. Â She then told me there was nothing she could do because I had already eaten some of it. Â I was obviously shocked. Â I asked how she would react in the same situation. Â Nothing. Â Things got heated from there. Â Thankfully, a gentleman who works there came over to try to resolve the situation. Â She went to the back to call the owner. Â He was extremely nice and tried to accommodate me. Â The manager came back and said she would give me half off. Â At this point, I said forget it. Â I didn't want anything from them and would not be back. Â The guy then got on the phone with the owner. Â Turns out, that manager had said that I had eaten ALL of my food and then brought in a fly. Â He made it very clear that was not even close to the truth. Â The manager then completely changed her obnoxious tone. Â She said that since she wanted me to be happy, she was going to refund my entire check. Â Gee, thanks. Â Serious props to the helpful guy. Â Wish I knew your name to give you full credit. Â You should get a new job where they will appreciate your awesome attitude.
Review Source:Seriously I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about? This place is soooo good! Loved the western theme! Such a cute restaurant!! Â We stopped here on the way to Austin and had the catfish and burgers. Seriously juicy burgers and the catfish was to die for! We will defffffff be back
Review Source:$28 for a hamburger, which was huge, steak fingers and two drinks. Food was okay. Service was entertaining. Took a while to get our food and the person from the kitchen who delivered it looked pretty criminal. He literally dropped the food on paper plates at our table and threw the extra plate at me. Another customers steak was cooked wrong and he asked for another. The cashier was rude and finally gave him his money back.
Review Source:WAY over priced for a burger with no seasoning. Not to mention being served on a regular Walmart paper plate. Even had to get all our own fixings(lettuce, tomato, onions where all out on the counter along with tons of flys swarming around) for the burger. Lettuce was yellow! This place was horribl!!! When asked owner about the sign she had outside saying "The Best Burgers in Texas" she tells me I was the only one in 3 years whose ever complained about them. But by reading the rest of the reviews on here she is wrong! Had to eat here due to it being late and the Hard Eight Resturaunt wasn't open but will never eat here again! Don't waste the money or time!
Review Source:We couldn't resist the sign saying "Best Catfish in the Nation" on the front of the building so we stopped for dinner on our way home to Austin. Â We ordered a hamburger and a catfish plate. Â While we waited for our food we discussed the bottles of tartar sauce and ranch dressing that were out on all of the tables. Â How can you leave condiments at room temperature like that? Â That should have been our first clue. Â I am 100% positive that what we were served was NOT catfish. Â Catfish is one of my favorite foods and this was certainly not catfish. Â The flavor was off, it was very white and rubbery- not catfish. Â The burger was served plain with a topping bar for all of the fixins. Â It was ok, but nothing I couldn't get elsewhere. Â We came to the conclusion that if they were leaving cold condiments at room temperature all day, what else was going on where we couldn't see it. Â We were very disapointed, the good news is we didn't get sick.
Review Source:not that one should ever trust the sign that says "best catfish in texas" or "best burger in texas" especially when the citation is from the colorado sun... Â but it was late & there wasn't much else around. Â long story short, i couldnt finish my catfish because of the "fishy" flavor and the breading which left much to be desired for. Â the "ambiance" is exactly what you would expect from brady. Â the steak fingers were about have the size of a normal chicken fry. Â dont do it...just pass on by....
