I've been wanting to try this place since we moved to this small town months ago. Â My teenage daughters were resistant. Â Their classmates all informed them that Brenda's "sucked." Â
However, it's the only pizza place nearby and Papa John's and Pizza Hut in the nearby town do not deliver here. Â So I was hopeful for a local pizza place. Â Plus, I just like mom and pop establishments.
We ordered 20 wings with honey mustard, a cheese pizza and a pepperoni and pineapple pizza. Â The wings were good. Â Brenda's offers several sauce choices for the wings. Â They weren't any different than other wings I've had, but I will probably return for the wings. Â
The pizzas we didn't like. Â The cheese is the type that is extremely greasy, so we had to sop it up with napkins. Â The crust and sauce tasted fresh and simple, which I usually like, but not this time. Â There was too much dough for the size of the pizza so we ended up with these big blobs of crust to chew on. Â And the dough was just bland. Â It needed salt.
Finally, I got around to trying the pizza place down the street! Â It's not any style of pizza that I'm familiar with, but it was pretty good and really hearty--not the cakey, fluffy pizza most chain stores have and definitely much thicker than New York thin slices. Â They make everything to order, so it'll take a few extra minutes. Â My wife had the wings and really liked them.
I've been twice now: both times my food was ready on time and the staff was incredibly nice. Â I asked for a menu and they said they'd run out, so suggested I take photos of the menu, which I did and posted here.
PIZZA! I hear pizza~
We checked out this Pizza place as it is the only one in the town and WE were ready to eat! We ordered a Large Pepperoni Pizza and some soda. Pizza came fresh hot. The cheese was LOADED and ready for everyone to just grab a slice! The cheese just hooked up to the other slices as you pull yours apart from the main pan. Lightly crunchy on bottom but perfect. Sauce had just the right amount of garlic and seasonings in it. The thing I liked about the pizza was it was not thin or too thick. Crust was the type you wanted to munch down. Everyone filled up after one slice but you know how the lingering of the next piece just calls for you to get. yeah!
The place was decent quick place to dine in and out. Not a white linen place but enough to take a load off your feet and share some giggles of your day with whom ever your with or even around. Town is small but enough to enjoy simple hot cheesy pizza~
