Brewbaker's Restaurant

Four stars for this place as a bar.  The food is alright, but thats not really why I come here.  I think as far as bars go this place has the best atmosphere in town.  Its a really sweet spot to grab a drink with some friends.  Friendly, warmly antique vibe and unpretentious.   They have good happy hour deals starting at four in the afternoon.  I especially like having a beer and a salad while sitting outside on a nice warm day or evening.

Pluses are the tables for eating outside with umbrellas; efficient although not friendly staff; and the German Riesling wine. Negatives are the food, which is what you go there for. Both of our burgers were undercooked when we requested medium-- all pink, but the manager made it good by replacing my husband's. I was hungry enough to go ahead and eat mine. That and the fact that the staff is not very experienced.  The prices are fine. That's all I have to say about that.

Took my grandmother out to dinner here. Thought it was a family restaurant but it seems more like a pub sort of place. Anyway, the food was pretty tasty, though a tad expensive for what you get. The service was friendly and amazing.

Overall, I'd like to see a little more variety on the menu. The food was tasty, but nothing special or out of the ordinary or of super high quality (again, not low quality either).

You could do worse than grabbing a bite here, but I doubt it'll be my go-to next time I'm in Winchester.
