This is a great country store with amazing charm. When I visit my family in the area, I always make a point to stop. Their pork sandwich is amazing. The meat has a nice, but not overpowering, smokey taste. The sauce is different from what i normally like. Typically, when I eat pork BBQ, I want a real strong vinegar tasting sauce. This one is not that, but I still love it. The home made potato salad and cole slaw are perfect. Their brisket and chicken are worth a taste as well. The white sauce for the chicken is something I've never had before and is delicious. Throw in some ice cream at the end and its a great stop. If you are going to Summit Point or just on a drive, this is a great quick and easy stop. Now, so people don't get the wrong idea, this is not a fancy restaurant, it's a country store with a gas station, that is special because of its homemade food and country charm. Expect to get messy and smell the food on your hands even after a thorough hand washing! Hope you enjoy.

I won't be going back. Got two pounds of BBQ and got two little containers of Carolina sauce.... Not enough.  For $20 I should have gotten more then that.  BBQ was ok...not award winning.  Staff looked like they would rather be doing something else.  The guy who gathered my food stopped cutting up a raw chicken to get the food.  So in a nut shell,  over priced, not that great, lame staff and selfish with the sauce.  I love supporting local business but you at least have to try.

My husband and I wanted some bbq pork. After reading the reviews decided to try JS Market for ourselves. We hoped on our motorbike and drove 262 miles to try it. It was well worth the ride. Austin the owner had just taken the bbq port out. I had the potato salad which was great and my husband had the coleslaw which was just as good. We met some great people while eating there, and it was interesting to see how busy it got with all the locals coming in for the same thing, and general shopping. On our way out, Olivia, Austin's wife came out and introduced herself to us as she heard we had driven all the way from NJ just to eat there. What a great couple they are and we will certainly go there again. It is off the beaten track which makes it more interesting and about 4 miles from Winchester, VA which is a must town to see if in the area.
