I didn't actually get to eat there... so this is my rating based on walking in. Â It was a Saturday night at 6pm, and I wanted some oysters. I'd heard from friends that this place was pretty good, so I thought I'd pop over before heading to a movie. Â The parking lot was getting full but there were plenty of open spaces. Â I pulled up, walked in, and waited at the hostess station to be welcomed. Â A couple walked in ahead of me and was taken to a seat. Before leaving, the young male host greeted me and said he'd be with me in a moment... all good so far. Â While waiting, an older lady (I presume now she's the owner) was wandering up to the hostess station. I was hanging around for the gentleman to return, saw a friend right at the bar no more than 8 feet away, hugged her and then resumed by position at the hostess stand where I had been. Â She finally looked at me with a look like what the heck was I doing there. Â I spoke "table for one." Â She told me that "sorry" that she wouldn't be able to seat me til 8:30 or later. Â I said "ok" and then she told me I could sit at the bar. Â (Note: single female sitting at a bar on a Saturday night... nah, Momma brought me up better than that).... Anyway, she gets a 2 stars because she didn't seem very customer oriented or even friendly. Â Her nonverbal communication didn't make me feel welcome or appreciated as a potential customer. Rather, I felt like I was intruding for walking in her doors.
