Ate here twice each time ordering one of their burgers and both times they were excellent. Cooked to perfection just the way I ordered it and the flavor was out of this world.
Bar prices over priced and almost ridiculous don't plan on to many drinks because our bar bill was twice the amount of our food and we only had two drinks each.
Expect an extensive menu and good service. Â The entertainment is appropriate for the size and atmosphere of the venue. Â Their specials are indeed special, and arrive in a timely manner and are vey fresh. Â Even with the great selection, I have my favorites which I repeatedly order. Â Each time the taste is consistently great. Â Expecting what to expect yet getting more are wonderful accolades for this restaurant.
Review Source:If you plan on going here, Â plan on spending a good bit of money. Nothing on the menu is under 10.00 not even the starters. The drinks are the cheapest thing here at 7.00 a pop for a small glass. I had the Ghost Scallops starter. They were perfectly cooked but at 12.00 for a starter and only 4 scallops I was disappointed. The sauce it comes with gives the burn you would expect from ghost chillies, with an alfredo like texture. Pairs well with the scallops which are wrapped in bacon. The salty caramel drink delivers just what it sounds like it will a creamy caramel drink with salt on the rim, all in all probably the best martini I have had but I think 7.50 was a bit expensive. The atmosphere is nice dimly lit and pleasant enough waiters I suppose.
Review Source:Generous 5 star for the food quality and variety, however the wait times can become insane (this is the greatest drawback for the place).
As I've stated in previous reviews, good places to eat are hard to come by in schuylkill, but this is a far cry from settling for a lesser evil.
Plenty of sorts of burgers and wraps under $10 if you don't want something too fancy, and steaks, salads, and pastas for full dinners and gatherings. Desserts are okay, but not their specialty, however their wings are cooked crispy and well (mm mm). I'd describe the place as upscale american cuisine, without breaking the bank.
Just ate at The Brick House Grill today. Â We showed up for lunch at 1:30 with a party of 13 - 8 adults, 2 kids, and 3 babies. Â The staff accommodated us immediately by joining tables together in a quiet section of the restaurant. Â They served our group with ease and speed. Â We had drinks within a few minutes. Â After ordering, our food was out in record time, and all at the same time!
Our party enjoyed burgers, wraps, salads, and fare from the kids menu. Â Everything was delicious...especially the sweet potato fries!
All in all it was a wonderful experience. Â Restaurants don't always accommodate large parties without reservations with ease, but The Brick House Staff didn't even blink an eye. Â Would definitely go back!
After sitting down and looking at the specials and regular menu, I was excited and looking forward my meal. I did notice the prices were much higher than I would expect for a restaurant in this area, I have no problem paying for good food and service. Â BTW, $5.25 for a 12 oz. imported draft is kinda ridiculous.
The crab dip appetizer with crostini was good, with real crab and good melting cheeses. Â I would order it again. Â I then ordered the seafood trio of shrimp on a skewer, crab cake, and salmon, $22. I ordered a side of sauteed spinach w/ olive oil and garlic and grilled zucchini, both were very good. Â I can't say the same for my main. Â The salmon was excellent. I'd recommend it and order it again. Â The crab cake was a average. Â Back fin meat, not lump, and a little too much bread crumb. Â Pretty small. At least it wasn't frozen. Â Then the shrimp skewer. Â This was not good, it was bad. Â As tender as leather, tasted of iodine, with no seasoning. Â The saving grace was that the server immediately offered to have the chef make another.
The final summary is simple.....average food priced at above average prices. Â Dinner for 4, two beers, 2 apps, 4 entrees = $112.
Btw, the service was very good....
I was pleasantly surprised by the Brick House. Â
Started off with the shrimp skewer-very good. I could of had that as my main meal.
The Cobb was satisfactory, although way too big.
The grilled veggies that came with the rib eye was my favorite.
Yummy!! The rib eye was okay, definitely not something I would order again.
If I were to go back I would get the shrimp skewer with the grilled veggies...I
If you are in the area and need a place to eat-stop in
Not too shabby for the area, where good food is hard to come by.
The shrimp skewer appetizer was very good. All of my grilled veggies were also good.
Rib Eye was ok as was the cobb salad.
Live acoustic music outside would have been nicer if it wasn't amplified - would rather be able to talk then yell during dinner.
