Apparently only does fresh BBQ on Saturdays and Sundays so I tried the cod fish fry and my wife had pulled chicken. Fish was heavily breaded squares of frozen fish ... Nothing special. Chicken was tender but little flavor. House BBQ sauce was runny and too sweet.
Sides were small. Cheese curds were not homemade or fresh.
DOES NOT take credit ... ATM charges you $2.
While the bbq is only fresh on weekends(plan ahead) the daily offerings are always good at.this fine example of a great smalltown tavern.  The gumbo is good.even.with a  roux that is too lite(and no okra) but we are up north!!   The burgers are first rate with a decent bun too.
Good selection of beers on tap(but no Oso!) and nice assortment of bourbons and tequila too
great stop if you are in this part of Wisconsin(closed Mondays)
The tiny town of Rosholt,, WI has a hidden treasure: The Brick Pit House. Â Come here to enjoy some very solid BBQ, along with local brews and blues on the jukebox. Â My pulled pork sandwich was heaped with a generous portion of the pig, tender and delicious. Â I liked that the sandwich was served with house made BBQ sauce on the side, a sure sign that the pit master is confident of his product. Â The sauces (a sweet KC style and a zippy NC style) are house made, as is nearly everything on the menu. Â I will definitely be back to sample the ribs, which are only available on weekends. Â
If you are ever in the area, you need to give this place a try.
