My husband and I ate here this past Friday night (4/12/13) and were seated right away. The parking situation isn't that great, but we lucked out with a person leaving their spot.
We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Dip with tri-colored tortilla chips; it was soo good, although I do prefer shredded chicken in the dip versus cubes. Still, I'd definitely order it again.
I ordered the Fish Tacos for dinner and loved them. There was a nice assortment of fillings and the fish was tasty. Only complaint is that the amount of fish they put in the actual tacos is pretty small. I only could eat one after sharing the dip with my husband!
My husband got some turkey pastry dish. He cleaned his plate...
This place is great for a casual meal and a good beer. We will definitely be back.
Yay I love the BBC! I am living right down the street from Falmouth Heights this winter because my SO is working in WoodsHole for a few months. Since having the baby we don't get out much and time of day depends on babies schedule.
Sometimes getting out on a Sunday afternoon and having a delectable pastry puff shepard pie on a cold winter day, sipping mad elf ale on tap, and watching a Pens game in the bar is all a tired lady's heart desires! We brought visiting friends here over New Years to sit at the huge picture window to watch the ocean with an empty beach and sip some dark and stormies to warm us that cold day. The atmosphere is casual and inviting and everyone has that positive, proud, energy living in such a coveted location. I would say order anything on the menu I have never had a complaint.
The summer is packed as expected but taking a motorcycle ride on a hot day up the coast, passing beach after beach then reaching your destination of mussels and a cold draft beer, well there's nothing like it! The selection is top notch and rotates frequently. After your visit take a walk and listen to the ocean waves and breathe in that salty sandy air.
Worst time I have ever had eating out. There was a guy at the table next to me and my girlfriend who, I am not kidding here, was talking about how his niece was in Penthouse and how he carried it around with him because he was so proud of her. My lady was sickened, justifiably, and so we asked them to be quiet. The man then proceeded to say that, if the place wasn't so packed, he would have to get in a fight with me. I laughed, and walked over to murder him, but my girl stopped me and told me to go to the manager, so we did. When we all looked over, the guy flipped off the manager and everyone at the restaurant. This scared the shit out of the manager, who in turn, made his toughest looking bouncer kick the guy out. The guy did not leave, the manager did nothing, and when he finally left, the guy parked behind my car. My lady and I asked the manager to ensure our safety, and he said a bouncer went outside and no one was there. Neither me or my lovely lady ate ANY of our meal, and not only where we not comped (even though the manager apologized a million times over, as did all the wait staff) but when we went outside, the guy was waiting for me, with a weapon.
I am still here, which should tell you how it turned out for that guy, but regardless, no establishment should put any of their customers in a position like that, and then to not comp the (frankly shitty) meal just made me hate them that much more. Almost glad I killed a guy in their parking lot.
BBC, you suck, on so many levels.
