After a great day at the beach, we decided to sit on the harbor for dinner and drinks. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. I was with a friend and since there was no hostess, we asked the woman at the raw bar outside if she minded if we sat ourselves. She said of course, and then said something under her breath about the hostess missing. It was hot out, and after a long day at the beach, we just wanted a drink. We waited outside for about 20-30 minutes and no one acknowledged us. Another couple that was waiting as well, got up and left at the next table. Finally I went inside and asked for drinks myself. The bartender was gruff and there were about 4 waitstaff in the inside. Drinks were delivered, but then no one came outside for another 15-20 minutes for our food order. It was maddening. There was so much waitstaff and they were all sitting around chatting. It wasn't even busy! There was another party inside that was finishing up and 2 guys outside drinking beer. I don't know why we decided to stay, but we were hot and hungry and tired. We went inside and asked if we could sit at one of those tables. Maybe NOW someone would wait on us. Nope. Seriously, another 20 minutes, sitting there. And we still stayed like idiots. I went up to the waitress, which was drinking some frozen concoction, hopefully not drinking on the job. "Can we please have some service?" I asked. "Oh! I didn't see you over there!" Again, seriously? There are about 6 small tables in this place and she already said we could sit inside. She came over with hot pink sunglasses (professional) and took our order. I asked what the daily sliders were, and was told by the Pink Sunglasses that it was "I think the regular beef slider." Sounds great! The food came out pretty quickly (since there was no one there) and the sliders were pulled pork with cole slaw. FOR REAL?!?!?!??! I asked her what was this? She had told me it was just a beef burger. She replied "Oh, I guess I was told wrong." TAKE OFF YOUR SUNGLASSES LADY!!!!! (inner monologue happening here.) Is this waitstaff for real? The sliders were gross for $10 for two. The truffle fries were o.k., I've had better. My friend enjoyed her meal although she is gluten intolerant and she wanted the calamari which specifically said it was coated in rice flour, but it really wasn't. Luckily she asked, but why bother saying it on the menu if it's not coated in rice flour? Shame on me for staying and giving her a decent tip. But shame on Lobsterville for hiring incompetent waitstaff who lack professionalism and are just plain lazy. Also, thanks for the dirty dog dish by my indoor dining table. The man at the next table moved it because it was plain disgusting. Gross.
Review Source:Stopped in for a drink and decided to try the lobster bisque. It wasn't as hearty as I've had at other places, but the bisque itself was good. Service was quick and the waitress even let us use her phone charger to charge our iphones while we had a drink. I look forward to trying other things on the menu next time!
The location is perfect, very scenic with lots of restaurants and outside drinking all around.
