After a great day at the beach, we decided to sit on the harbor for dinner and drinks. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. I was with a friend and since there was no hostess, we asked the woman at the raw bar outside if she minded if we sat ourselves. She said of course, and then said something under her breath about the hostess missing. It was hot out, and after a long day at the beach, we just wanted a drink. We waited outside for about 20-30 minutes and no one acknowledged us. Another couple that was waiting as well, got up and left at the next table. Finally I went inside and asked for drinks myself. The bartender was gruff and there were about 4 waitstaff in the inside. Drinks were delivered, but then no one came outside for another 15-20 minutes for our food order. It was maddening. There was so much waitstaff and they were all sitting around chatting. It wasn't even busy! There was another party inside that was finishing up and 2 guys outside drinking beer. I don't know why we decided to stay, but we were hot and hungry and tired. We went inside and asked if we could sit at one of those tables. Maybe NOW someone would wait on us. Nope. Seriously, another 20 minutes, sitting there. And we still stayed like idiots. I went up to the waitress, which was drinking some frozen concoction, hopefully not drinking on the job. "Can we please have some service?" I asked. "Oh! I didn't see you over there!" Again, seriously? There are about 6 small tables in this place and she already said we could sit inside. She came over with hot pink sunglasses (professional) and took our order. I asked what the daily sliders were, and was told by the Pink Sunglasses that it was "I think the regular beef slider." Sounds great! The food came out pretty quickly (since there was no one there) and the sliders were pulled pork with cole slaw. FOR REAL?!?!?!??! I asked her what was this? She had told me it was just a beef burger. She replied "Oh, I guess I was told wrong." TAKE OFF YOUR SUNGLASSES LADY!!!!! (inner monologue happening here.) Is this waitstaff for real? The sliders were gross for $10 for two. The truffle fries were o.k., I've had better. My friend enjoyed her meal although she is gluten intolerant and she wanted the calamari which specifically said it was coated in rice flour, but it really wasn't. Luckily she asked, but why bother saying it on the menu if it's not coated in rice flour? Shame on me for staying and giving her a decent tip. But shame on Lobsterville for hiring incompetent waitstaff who lack professionalism and are just plain lazy. Also, thanks for the dirty dog dish by my indoor dining table. The man at the next table moved it because it was plain disgusting. Gross.
Review Source:Stopped in for a drink and decided to try the lobster bisque. It wasn't as hearty as I've had at other places, but the bisque itself was good. Service was quick and the waitress even let us use her phone charger to charge our iphones while we had a drink. I look forward to trying other things on the menu next time!
The location is perfect, very scenic with lots of restaurants and outside drinking all around.
Came here for lunch on Memorial Day and it was ... A-OK. Not great, but not disappointing either.
The location is definitely the restaurant's selling point. We initially sat on the second-floor balcony, but were eventually thwarted by heavy winds (which literally blew my salad off the plate!) and headed inside. There are nice large windows, though, so we still had a beautiful view of the water.
The menu is about what you'd expect from a place called "Lobsterville." I went with two friends. They started off with the clam chowder and I had the kale Caesar salad. The clam chowder was excellent. I was not a fan of the Caesar salad but it was an interesting concept, and I like that they tried to do something a little different than a standard Caesar. My friends got the lobster grilled cheese and loved it. It had *huge* chunks of lobster in it - it looked delicious! I went with the lobster BLT. Excellent concept, and perfect execution - although I think it's pretty hard to screw up a sandwich made of lobster, bacon, and veggies! I wouldn't consider it a great value, but it also wasn't outrageously overpriced.
Service was pretty good. The hostess was very friendly, and our waitress checked in on us reliably. I wouldn't call it a "go-to" spot, but it was a solid place to stop in for a nice lunch.
What a surprise! Â On the pier, my expectations were low but they really do have the best hamburgers on the island, (maybe anywhere) and a great lobster roll. Â Only demerit on the lobster roll is being overly juicy but the lobster was hand picked clearly and beautifully spiced. Â The lobster pasta special with Saffron was the best pasta we've had in months. Â And the fried calamari is the best I've ever had period. Â Fries where not as good as the homemade chips. Â Terrific salad too. Â Fun soundtrack and friendly staff.
Review Source:Worst service we've experienced in a while. No smile, no eye contact. A "what?" instead of a "I'm sorry we do not have that." We were never asked how things were or if we received the extra lemon we were asking for (which we did not). I had to beg the person that brought the food for more drinks and all the food was brought out at once. The food was great, spectacular even. However, it wasn't great enough to have to chase after the waitress for a glass of water, a slice of lemon, or our bill. I understand the busy August excuse, I'm an islander, however it was not busy and there is not excuse for poor service and barely warm food. We're not likely to recommend.
Review Source:Awesome little spot, right on the harbor where you can perch yourself high up on one of the barstools outside and grab a drink and some really yummy food. Watch the people and the boats come and go while waiting for your ferry back to Hyannis. We LOVED the lobster grilled cheese sandwich - insanely indulgent!
Review Source:Came here after wandering the waterfront looking for a suitable place for lunch and got convinced of coming here front the sign for pig wings.
Had the lobster roll and pig wings. The lobster rolls was perfectly creamy with giant chunks of lobster. Basically they half the claws and quarter the tail. A generous portion to say the least, with just a hint of spice in a fluffy, crispy, buttery, oversized hotdog bun.
The pig wings were braised and deep fried pork shanks. These thing pulled clean off the bone with just a fork. This was the definition of tenderness. Came glazed with a very mildly spicy BBQ sauce that went perfectly.
The service was super friendly and laid back, and the waitress at one point plops down an unordered beer next to me and just said "oops." A happy accident indeed.
Great waterfront views, friendly staff, and excellent food. Hit this place up for sure if you find yourself in the area.
I'm sure this place is really good (or so my friend says)... but we came here for dinner on a sunday night, and they shooed us away because they were completely out of food.
yes, you read that right - the waitress said they ran out of food and are no longer serving dinner. It was 9pm. they didn't run out of oysters, or tonight's special... they actually ran out of everything.
wait... what?
I been here a few times already but mostly to hang out after my work shifts. The people here arfe very friendly and they make one of the BEST burger here in MV. They make everything from scatch and all of their burger are unique and very tasty. The duo chef of Ray Ray and Michael is a great 1 and 2 punch!!
Review Source:After having our wedding rehearsal in Falmouth we hopped on the Island Queen for a day on MV. We had 17 people and walked into the Lobsterville Bar and Grille after our wedding party said they wanted some lobstah! They weren't even open yet but seated us anyway and JoJo our waitress was amazing. She made all of our drinks, got our orders in quickly and was even able to give some of the most sarcastic people on the planet (our families) a ride for their money with her wit! It made the day so special and memorable - we even got big hugs and well-wishes from her and the rest of the staff. I'd recommend this place in a heart beat and we will be going back every time we head over to MV in the future!
Review Source:After a full day of bike riding I wanted to treat my self to the BEST Lobster Roll on the Island. Â I had asked around and was sent here. It was wonderful. The Lobster had just arrived at lunch time. Fresh, and sweet, served on a buttered and toasted roll, accompanied by home made potato chips. Yum!
Review Source:If you're looking for a relaxing and casual place. This is a good choice. The view is lovely, our server was very friendly and very helpful. We had the mussels and steamed lobsters. I really cannot complain about either. It was great value for price and it was well prepared. The drink menu was also given a lot of attention. Something that I always pay attention to! Apparently the chef is new and he seems to be really working on making a name for himself here.
Good choice if you just want to relax and hangout!
Alert the media, Raymond's back and Lobsterville's got him! Yes my dears, you have read correctly. Raymond, the exceptionally talented and ever sauve chef of the beloved foody-cult favorite, Oyster Bar is wielding his magic wand (or in his case, ladle) at Lobsterville Bar & Grille for the 2012 summer season! Start with some "real" chowda," the delightfully pungent Bermuda fish chowder or perhaps something from Kappy's Raw Bar and then, don't be coy, get yourself some of Lobsterville's addictive bang-bang shrimp or the already becoming legendary "pig wings." If your taste buds yearn for something nostalgically scrumptious, order up a plate of Raymond's "Old Oyster Bar" baked stuffed quahogs. The lobster roll is chockablock of tender, local lobster and the cast iron skillet fried chicken sandwich will easily satisfy the most discriminating of  palate's. Raymond, always a stickler for culinary detail leaves no stone unturned when it comes to his mouth-watering side dishes. Get ready to start salivating when the generous plate of delectable twice-fried Belgian french fries or Jalapeno, jicama & apple pepper slaw finds their way to your table. Perhaps I do wax on poetic, but in my experience I have always found that when one mixes an untouchable cuisine and adds in a dash of sparkling harbor locale, you will find that you have concocted a spot-on recipe for a perfect restaurant experience!
Review Source:If i could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. Â We should have known something was up when there were plenty of tables open at this harborside restaurant on a busy Sat. evening. Â We waited 30 minutes for a cocktail and watched as other patrons were getting up and leaving. Â The service was so slow that it took an hour to get appetizers. Â The only reason we stayed was because we had a table with a view and were not all that hungry. Â Avoid this poorly run restaurant!!!!!!!!!
Review Source:So I can't complain about the location, as it is right on the harbor with plenty of good seating for people watching. HOWEVER, I can complain about the crappy overpriced food and drinks. The fish entree "market prices' were OUTRAGEOUS and the same for lunch and dinner.... The lunch entrees came with french fries. For some reason you can get the same fish on a bun with french fries and its 1/2 the price. I don't get it. The fish sandwiches were sooo plain and boring and the portions were very small which probably explains the half price. You are much better off going to the sand-bar or another restaurant on the harbor front.
Review Source:When I came in, I told the waitress I only have 40 minutes to have quick appetizer and drink. After 20 minutes, I was still waiting. She came and asked,
"Did you get waited?"
"No."
So I end up only get a drink cause I only had 15 minutes left. The view was nice, it's right in front of ocean. I like the restaurant closeby better, they had live music and people dancing and it's also in front of the water.
I don't know why this doesn't have a review. BUT....
we went there expecting just fried food or what not. And they actually have decently priced fresh fish selections of the day. and you can have it cooked a variety of ways each with their own special touch. We both ordered salmon, I had grilled he had pan seared. We didn't expect it to be very good but actually it was the freshest salmon we've had in a long time and it was awesome!
Service wasn't that great, ambiance kinda sucked but everything else was good.
and the view is good. :)
