I love Buffalo Wind Wings as a franchise.
The food is great and the wings are some of my favorites.
This location is somewhat lacking in the area of service.
I waited at the hostess table for about 8 minutes before anyone even looked up from what they were doing to help my girlfriend and I.
The restaurant was not busy maybe 7 or 8 other tables.
Once I was seated our waitress was polite but, after our food was brought over only came back once it was time for our check.
But the food was hot and fresh as usual.
I love this franchise and the only reason stars are missing is the service at this particular location.
Ideal for cheap wings and beers!
When I was in college, BWW was a huge part of my weekends. No matter where the location, this place is awesome on game day. Me and my friends would order piles of wings and pitchers of beers and always had a great time.
All BWWs I've been to have this great balance between feeling like a sports bar and a pretty nice restaurant. You don't have to be afraid to make a little noise, and you never worry about the quality of your food. The waitresses and bartenders are always friendly and quick to serve. The food is always good and affordable. And I know for a fact that either Tuesday or Thursday is all you can eat wings...I can't remember which because I usually chase each wing down with a beer.
Get your friends. Go to Bdubs. It's a good time.
This BWW really surprised me, in a good way.
The food is pretty much like any other one, but I like the service here a lot better. The one waiter we got (I think his name was Scott) was awesome! They really know how to take care of their customers.
This is the place to be for the college crowd on the weekend and late (midnight to 1am), but it is probably one of the only places open that late anyways.
They also show Pay-Per-View events for free occasionally. One downside is that they still have the old boxey TV sets that we had about ten years ago. Expect to see projectors instead of flat screen tvs.
I like the Asian Zing sauce! Anything higher than that would burn my tongue.
I'm not a chain restaurant aficionado, but this was pretty good. Loads of specials, e.g. Monday: huge Sam Adams (20-something oz.) for $3.75. Loads of different sauces to try -- I got the boneless wings & ribs combo, with Caribbean Jerk sauce. Tasty, cheap, and presumably a sports fan's mecca. There's one helluvalot of TVs (and a score ticker, which occasionally, and bizzarely, shows stock prices).
Review Source:BWW is one of the hottest places to be in Carbondale. It has been there for a little over a year, and it's still packed solid on the weekends. The food here is very good, and they have a ton of seating areas to catch a game on a big screen. Parking can be a problem, and it stays packed in there, but the service is pretty good.
