Nice Bar w/GREAT Karaoke!

I brought a group of friends (there were 6 of us) to the Bulldog Pub last night for Karaoke, and we were not disappointed.  The KJ was a lot of fun, they have an awesome stage and sound system, great selection of songs, and although the place was packed, the rotation wasn't all that long.  Win/win/win!!

Service was good, the seating was very comfortable, prices fair, and the food was great!  We got the Pub Nachos and Fish & Chips.  I couldn't eat like that too often, because I really try to avoid fried food, but once in a while, won't hurt!  

The crowd was mixed in ages and races, and everything seemed to go pretty well until a fight broke out near the pool tables.  It was quickly moved outside, and I don't know what happened with them after that.  I don't think they had any security, at least not that I could tell, so that's not a good thing.

My only complaint is regarding the restrooms.  You have to go outside, through the patio and around back, to get to them.  Once you do, one of the 2 stall doors in the lady's room could only be locked if you lift up on the door, there was no hook in either stall for your purse, so you had to set it on the dirty floor (Ewwww!), and the lights over the sink were burned out, so you were in semi darkness, when washing your hands or fixing you hair/make up at the mirror.  If they spent a little money fixing up the restrooms, I think that would go a long way toward making the place really cozy.

Regarding their Yelp Reviews:  Congrats, guys...40 reviews and not a single 1-star!  You don't see that too often, and I rarely give even 4 stars to a bar.  Keep up the good work.

Nice vibe.  The shepard's pie was quite good.  The fish & chips was not.  If only they'd put a decent piece of fish in that batter.

As a buddy of mine lives in the area, I've stopped by the Bulldog more than once, but last night I had food there so its really time that I wrote a review.

The Shepard's Pie was just the way it should be! No frills. Served with baked beans. A healthy portion. And if I'm prepared to suffer the wrath of an irish woman..just like my mum made it! There. I said it...now I have to watch my back if ever she gets online and starts reading my reviews.

A few more beers into the night, and now with my mate beside me, we snacked on some fries and these were as more-ish as those way-too-addictive chips that come in a tube. So much so that we took some to go.

They have bands here from time to time, though I cant say I've been here then.

Parking: No issue.
