This bar is not too far from my home, And they have started have burlesque shows there....My husband myself and a few friends with this past weekend. I noticed that the prices were quite high for a dive bar But really didn't say anything tipped the waitress every time she came to our table. The girls there a half dressed maybe that's why so many men like that bar? Sad thing is I found out that whole night I was being overcharged for every single thing that I ordered even though I was tipping. I called the next day and spoke with the manager on duty who informed me of the real prices come to find out I'm out almost to 20 dollars in overcharges. I explained to her what happened and that I Couldn't believe the waitress what do that. After talking to some friends that have been there before they ran into the same issue. I was told that the owner would be in contact with me to find out what happened well it's been 3 days now and I haven't heard anything back. Overcharging is bad for business we will never go back to this bar again. Oh, and staff smoking and bar patrons too? No biggie to me but isnt it the law?
Review Source:Smelled moldy, looked dirty only felt safe ordering a bottle of beer. Â Can't imagine what the kitchens like and dishes looking at this place. Â I would let my dog walk in the dog. Â Bathrooms were a nasty was there at 10:30pm on Thursday was a ghost town. Â This place used to amazing haven't been here in four years sure went down hill won't be back. Â Washed my clothes when I got home to get the ick off them.
Review Source:Being close to home made me stop in. The staff had me coming back. The owner (Billy) and his wife (Erika) actively run the bar, and all of the staff are extremely nice. It doesn't hurt that the girls are all gorgeous too! They have some really good bands several nights a week that make this a great place to hang out. My favorite is their regular Thursday night band. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.
Don't get me wrong, if you're looking to go out in a sport-coat & tie or an evening gown, you might want to rethink your location. Boomers is a bit rough and tumble and "dive-y". That being said, there is a very diverse & eclectic mix of regulars and people following the various acts/artists playing there. I've never had any problem getting along with everyone here. It's a great crowd.
Surprisingly the food is all pretty good! Get there early for the specials, because they can run out. Tom the lead cook runs a tight kitchen and I haven't yet had anything I wouldn't recommend to someone else.
First time here!!...a dive bar...lot's of room for a big crowd. We had a Birthday party and was treated really good...food was a little slow...but came out hot and really pretty good for heart attack platter..lol...LOVED the fried pickles A+...Band was just awesome..~Dirty white boys~...all in all...HAD a blast!!...pool tables...air hockey...pinball....like it!!
Review Source:It's a OK bar -- didn't really go there for drinking actually. Â I showed up after work but there was a discount promoting on groupon (pay $8 and get $15) and I also had a coupon for $5 off -- so I purchase a $15 meal for $3. Â Lol! Â Yes I'm that cheap!!!
Anyway the bartender (waitress as well) attire a tiny swimsuit -- yup it's aimed for the guy. Â WHAT ABOUT US LADIES -- WHERE THE HALF NAKE GUY WALKING AROUND WITH SHOTS.
The place was dark and people were friendly -- I even give a groupon 101 to a random customer. Â Food wasn't bad -- I ordered 2x philly steak and cheese subs w/ small bag of chips and also cheesy appetizer.
***Please remember -- I was there at 6pm on Wednesday; it might get a little live on the weekend or at night.
The place was pretty much empty except for us and our large party, so service was pretty slow considering they are usually not so busy on a Tuesday night. There was a three person band playing -two guys on acoustic guitars singing and a female vocalist. Not bad, but I would have preferred the jukebox going since we were there for a farewell party. I also didn't care for the fact that after the band was done playing, that unless you pumped some serious money in the jukebox that there was total silence in the bar.
  I got there at ten and the kitchen was already closed, which wasn't good because the drinks were cheap enough that we bought plenty of them and needed something to eat. After we walked to and from the nearby gas station we were than informed that if we had wanted something fried -like the cheese sticks we'd wanted- that we could have still got them but at that point we had eaten our gas station snacks.
  All the employees were very nice, but one of them got a little too drunk and was a little too "friendly" with some of the girls in our party.
  This place has a big game room with pool tables, a few arcade games and air hockey. Lots of TV's and sometimes the waitresses are in bikini's.
  I don't know if it was because they don't have outside lights/signs or because of some other issue, but the place was COMPLETELY dark outside. I passed it twice and had to stop and ask for directions because I didn't see it and after that I still passed a third time. I don't know about anyone else, but I find as a woman- walking to my car from a bar in complete darkness very unsafe. There wasn't even one light out there.
  I would only go back to this place if they got some parking lot lights, didn't close the kitchen early, and had the jukebox on shuffle until you put some money in.
