  Don't even bother stopping by if you are from out of state.  The staff refuses to serve anyone without a Texas ID.

  This place can't mix a drink to save it's life! And considering the location has a history of snuffing out businesses fairly quickly, this may become literal in the future.
  
  However, if you don't mind a bar with crappy drinks, this place has great atmosphere-- leather couches and nice artwork upstairs; foosball, darts and pool downstairs. There's also frequent live music which can be pretty hit-or-miss, but it adds to the feel of the place. It's a very pretty bar with a good stock of liquors and good beers on tap; it's unfortunate that most of the bartenders don't know what to do with them. The busty blonde girl knows a helluva lot about beer, though. Talk to her.
  
  Other than that, this place isn't worth the popped collar crowd on the weekends, or the prices most other days. Tuesdays are a good time to check it out, because they have $2 you-call-its on most things. So it doesn't matter too much if they screw up your drink. Really, though, I'd recommend sticking to beer here if you want to enjoy the rest of the place.
  
  This is the only bar where I've ever witnessed a person earnestly asking the bartender whether or not there's alcohol in his drink, and sheepishly asking that some be put into it.
