Ugh. I hate the Indiana Tollway. This used to be so much better 10 years ago.
Restaurants have all been reduced to fast-food with limited menus. Don't expect crisp lettuce, or even lettuce at all. Watch what they charge you; some of the most incompetent people work here. We were up-charged $8 on a meal for 2. The guy behind the counter was either working his first day ever or completely incompetent. His sorry co-worker tried to help by offering other suggestions and prices. It's a miracle we even placed an order.
A few years ago there was signage that the restaurants were responsible for maintaining the restrooms. I have no idea if it's still the case, but if so? AVOID. Missing toilet paper is annoying, but clogged toilets, doors that won't latch, and a flush button where someone had clearly kicked a hole in the wall? Yikes.
Semi-standard BK.... except that its a BK express. Â Nice that you don't have to pay a toll for a quick gas/food stop, however don't expect everything you'd normally want.
We got here admittedly late... 11pm-ish, but there were still 2 people working. Â I looked at the giant glowing LCD in front of me dynamically advertising for the angry whopper after I was asked what I'd like and looked back at my friend and said "Should I get an angry whopper?" Â He said "yeah, get an angry whopper". Â I said "well then, I'll take an angry whopper!" Â The cashier didn't hear and asked me to repeat myself, so I piped up -in a completely quiet room- and said "I'd like an angry whopper".
My friend placed a separate order for a whopper with cheese. Â We got our sandwiches a few moments later to find they were both regular whoppers with cheese. Â When I asked the cashier she seemed flustered, said there was no way that was what I ordered, and didn't offer to rectify the situation in any way. Â I asked if I could pay the difference -after I checked my receipt- and order the angry whopper to which she groaned and said "bring the other one over here". Â When I brought it over she said I could pay the difference, but they don't even have jalapeno or some of the other ingredients. Â I asked about buying a few other menu items and was told they didn't have them either.
So basically half of the completely changeable menu didn't exist at this location, and there wasn't much word about that being the case until after the fact. Â Customer service on the slow and painful side. Â Not really any reason to make this your stop unless you have to. Â This stop-off has a pizza-hut / KFC built in also, but they were closed at the time.
