We visited Midway for a few days and dined at Cafe Galleria twice. Both times there were very few other people there when we sat down and ordered. I mention that because it appeared that when it filled up (after we were served) the service level seemed to slow down -- too much waiting.
There is a large outdoor garden style seating area that's very relaxing and comfortable and has a nice blend of sun and shade, depending on your preference.
Yesterday, late afternoon, we stopped here for beers. In Utah you have to order food with drinks and we're glad we sampled one of their pizzas to share. The wood-fired crust was above average and very tasty. It was done just right.
We ordered a classic "Martguerita" pizza and were a bit disappointed in the ingredients (little basil, no fresh tomatoes on top, too much American/cheddar flavor), but what was there was fresh and good and all in all it was a very tasty snack. We saw another table get a wider variety of pizza and it looked quite good.
This morning we went early for coffee and bagel sandwiches. The bagels are cooked to order in the wood-fired oven and they are amazing. Our sandwiches were excellent. My wife had a traditional egg, ham and cheese and I had a tuna melt. Generous ingredients and delicious. Iris, our server, was friendly and helpful.
We will definitely come back again if we return to this town. Â The food is very good, and the prices are reasonable. The outdoor atmosphere in this slow-paced and quaint little town works well with the outdoor dining approach.
Do not go here. I rarely leave a bad review, but this was the worst. We were in Midway for a work conference and looking for something to eat. It was way busy. Walked in and they said to go find a seat and someone would be right there. We found nothing so we were standing by a table that needed to be cleaned. The waitress took away the plates then we stood there waiting for about 10 minutes with multiple servers walking by for them to change out the brown paper on the table. We ordered and waited 40 (not kidding) minutes for our garlic cheese bread appetizer that was a 6 inch piece of flatbread with some dry cheese melted on it that cost $5-$6. We asked if we could have our salad and she said that it comes with the pizza because of the presentation. Another 30 minutes later we received a dry flatbread pizza with weeds in the middle. The waitress dropped half of one of the pizzas when serving them to us. NOT ONCE DID SHE OFFER TO COMP ANYTHING OR ANY APOLOGIES FOR THE HORRIBLE SERVICE. My friend went in to talk to the manager about getting her pizza replaced. The waitress yelled for her and she yells back "WHAT". My friend tried to explain what had happened and all she kept saying to her in a not so nice voice was. What do you need. She didn't care at all what had happened. Seriously this is a long review and there is more to say, but you get the picture. All said and done, we were there for 2 1/2 hrs and each paid $18.00 for a drink, horrible pizza and some weeds. The live entertainment was the only thing that was wonderful. He got the tip that night.
