Fills a vital need in my little hometown for good snacks, coffee, and lunches. Breakfast menu is limited but good quality.  Stick around and meet (or make) a friend here.

Friday night dinners are excellent with quality wine selection; owners have a wine  connection, and this is their night to share with diners!

Note that Cafe Vista's music playlist is not accidental . . . but it is excellent.

Love Cafe Vista!  We had the best ham/cheese sando on the freshest bread.....and made by the best sandwich maker ever, Lia!  She must have learned it all from her babysitter from long ago!  Coffee is fresh and strong, great place, fresh food.  It's our new stop on the way up to and back from the mts.!

Great dinners on Friday & Saturday nights. The wine is just spectacular. Kudos for making such a small kitchen deliver fine food.

Best croissants around!! I think they get them from France. Always friendly service and fantastic coffee and chai. Plenty of seating room as well. They do dinner on Fridays - have not been but I get the menu's via email every week and it sounds fantastic - plenty of wines to taste as well.

I love this place. A cute little local resteraunt. They've got great pastries, and sandwiches, and good Friday night dinners. The people there are so friendly too!!! When I want a treat, I always get their icecream. For 1.50 you can get a pretty big size scoop-and it's good icecream. If you're just 'passing through' meadow vista (not very likely, I know, but stil) I would definelty say this is a great place.

THIS PLACE ROCKS!!  We come here about once a month, 2x a month in Summertime when we are in town.  Their Latte's are the best!  Breakfast Burritos and Ham and Cheese Crossants are a must try.  We love coming to this place with our family and friends, the owners and staff are super friendly!!

It's either here or Mountain Mike's in Meadow Vista.  We did lunch here a couple of times, and both times the owner was making the sandwiches, which were good.  There is a covered patio you can sit out on should you so desire.  Very local, very friendly atmosphere, and free wifi.  While not a "destination," If you find yourself in Meadow Vista needing lunch, this is the place.

Pulled Pork Sandwich rocks!  They make their own roasted pork and special sauce for the sandwich, which is not your typical BBQ sauce.  The ciabatta roll used on this sandwich is probably from Truckee Sourdough Baking Co.  The sauce is served on the side in a small cup, and you get a scoop of potato salad and a garnish of lettuce, tomato and pickle. ($6.50)

Cafe Vista is under new ownership in recent months.  Although the Friday night experiment in gourmet dining (with chef Allan Levesque) is no longer in operation, the owner says she might bring back some kind of  limited dinner hours--later  in the Summer of 2009.
