Love this family owned and operated restaurant. The family and staff are wonderful people (Al, Freddy, Antionette, Gulio, Marvin et.al). Â Perfectly casual atmosphere to enjoy quite tasty dishes (prepared by the head Chef Carlos and team), a glass of red wine and peek at the bar tv for game stats ;)
Review Source:I was recommended  to this place when I first moved to westchester from Brooklyn. Jesus this place sucked! I ordered a pizza and some garlic knots, to just do a tasting of to place. The garlic knots were garlic sticks and were from the refrigerator section of A&P probably. The pizza sauce was eh and the pizza itself was tasteless. Needless to say I have never gone back! It baffles me how so many people are giving this place great reviews!
Review Source:Ugh where do I start?! First of all, years ago I used this restaurant to cater my engagement party. I've eaten here a few times over the past couple of years and I've ordered take out from here as well. The time prior to this visit was a large family dinner and we did not have a pleasant experience with the service but as you can see I chose to come back here on 4/17 for my birthday dinner.
Soooo, Hubby and I were seated right away... this was the best part of our visit. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms off the special menu - they were anything but special! For one they tasted like they came out of a freezer. The stuffing looked like it was just breadcrumbs and was very mushy. I had penne vodka and he had some kind of pasta with eggplant and mozzarella.
We both liked our entrees HOWEVER ... our dining experience was very disrupted by their clown manager on duty. He was very loudly talking to the table next to ours and kept making dirty inappropriate jokes. Now neither one of us are prudes or anything but and to be eating with your spouse and hear the MANAGER on duty cracking jokes about va-jay jays to the table behind us.. Seriously, HAVE A LITTLE CLASS!!! We were completely turned off by the unprofessionalism and immaturity displayed by this guy. That table also asked for vinegar at one point and he (the manager) brought them regular vinegar in a bottle as well as a jug of vinegar you would buy in Costco - just to be funny. Seriously, who does that?!
When we were ready for our check, a waiter who was not our original waiter put the check on the table upright then 2 seconds later placed it down flat and pushed it towards my husband while letting out an obnoxious 'hehehe'.... Okay, really?!?!?
This restaurant could seriously have been featured on Restaurant Stakeout!! The restaurant staff are a bunch of jokesters that clearly don't take their job seriously.
This restaurant is now on my 'do not go back' list!
I used this restaurant to cater a party. The entire experience mostly via phone calls was easy and efficient. Â The staff is friendly and humble. Â The real star of the show is the food! Â It is excellent. Â I ordered anti pasta platter, and penne with vodka among other things, but the vodka sauce and the platter were wonderful. Â The sauce was creamy, and flavorful. Â The platter editable art, gloriously arranged meats, cheeses and olives. Â Something so simple yet perfected beautifully. Â There is a nice bar area as well, a must try!
Review Source:After seeing 7 out of 7 5 star reviews we should have been suspicious, but WOW, this is a great neighborhood place.
Freddy Fusco made us feel like we were in his kitchen with a glass of homemade wine.
From the superb Mussels in an excellent White Wine Sauce to the Frutti Di Mer,to an incredible Veal Saltimbocca every dish was perfect.
The platoon of service people is very attentive and friendly.
What a great find, what took us so long, we are regulars at the Paradise Bakery right next door.
We will be back often.
I've been coming to Campagna's since they opened. Â The food is excellent. Â The service is excellent. Â There pizza is excellent, thin crispy crust with their own sauce and cheese. Â Try there specialty personal pizzas. Â To be fair there pizza is more the the other pizzerias in the neighborhood but worth it. Â I also love the fact that they know my wife and I by name and always make our visits seem personal. Â Love this restaurant.
Review Source:Being Italian and very fussy - drive my friends crazy - this is the best Italian food you will have - the only sauce I actually can eat - And if you feel like something other than Italian - you can have great selections to select from - from fish to steak to chicken dishes - and the pizza is GREAT - The owners are simply the best and walk around and ask how everything is, etc. Gets very crowded so try to go early for your first try -
Review Source:I tried Campagna Pizzeria Restaurant with some of my friends. And wow, we love this place. The moment we enter, I noticed how the decors are very stylish and cozy. I love the ambience in this place. The service was also good. They were friendly and fast. They recommended us some of their best. The food is well cooked and very tasty. We were all so full. I also love their pizza! We tried some of their wines. They have nice selections of wine. All in all, we will be coming back here to try other meals from their menu. Best experience we had.
Review Source:I lived more or less down the road from this place my whole life (figure from the time I was born, through coming home on college vacation, and then after graduation until I finally moved out at 22) Â In other words, by my standards, this place is fairly new to the block, so by the time it arrived, I already had all my favorite local spots--particularly for Italian food, which is probably my favorite of all cuisine. Â But, considering it's already been around for what? 8-10 years?--it didnt't take me nearly that much time to warm up to it, or nearly that long to turn into my go-to place for Italian food when I visit my mom (for Pizza, it will ALWAYS be Gigis).
All the staples here are delicious, from the bolognese sauce (preferably on ravioli), to the array of chicken related things (parm, franchese, lemon, etc.). Â The soups are top notch, the eat-in pre-meal bread (and bruchetta) all kick ass. Â Good salad menu, good this, good that, etc. Â Never had a bad meal here...in fact, never had less than a great meal. Â But I'd be lying to if I said I ever stray too far from the Penne a la Vodka. Â I cut my PALV teeth here. Â To me, there's no place on Earth that can compete, and for as long as i live, all PALV will be compared to the PALV here. Â The pasta is cooked perfectly, the sauce is the right mix of creamy and saucy, and the chunks of tomato--which i never liked pre Campagna--bring the meal to the next level. Â They're that sweet spot between raw and cooked, and they add a fantastic dimension to meal.
To recap: Â go here, order anything, love it. Â Go here, order the Penne a la Vodka, and change your life.
Yummmers! At first I thought it was a dinner only type of place, where you get straight up, delicious italian food. But then I realized its also a pizza place, where you can get amazing pies. I love this place, it has everything! My mom swears by the calamari, shrimp scampi and pasta fagiolle (sp?). Â Even though I only get back home a few times a year, I always wind up here at least once for some delish food and wine. (The younger servers working here don't know much about wine, or how to pour it, but somehow its endearing and not annoying).
