Love this place, tons of pool tables and dart boards, and really nice staff. If you order a domestic beer, you get a free half hour of pool (to be redeemed only on certain days) but paying for pool isn't that expensive anyways. Bartenders and employees are fantastic. Tons of televisions so you can see anywhere and watch whatever, but also has good music playing a lot of the time. They have a ton of different beers. My only complaint is they don't have any hard liquor, just syrupy liqueurs, but other than that definitely 5 stars.

Been going to campus billiards for approximately 3 years.  The owners are fantastic and courteous.  The prices on the beers/drinks to the food to the tables are all reasonable.  I haven't been for UFC nights but that's on the list.  During the week in the evenings the crowd is in their 40's and 50's...I know cuz that's me.  Everyone seems really cool if not a little buzzed and happy.  Lots of TV's so  you can always watch something.

Better, cleaner bar than some of the other ones.  Too loud though.

Lame, the bartender deliberately neglected to tell me the specials... Resulting in an extraordinary bill for a place like this. This place advertised the UFC fights, but only showed half the undercard...and with no audio. They kept Major League Lacrosse on 3 displays?!? Wtf!? Within 10 minutes of me arriving there was a physical altercation between two cracked out non patrons that were hanging out on this pool hall's gum stained couches. I wont be back. Trashy

I go here every once in awhile to check out NFL games on Sunday.  They have an overabundance of screens which is never a bad thing.  Their pool tables are in good shape, and the crowd seems to be pretty cool.

I've been here in years past and they allowed us to bring food in because they didn't utilize their kitchen.  They now serve food there.  I don't really want to try their food as it looks like hot dogs and nachos.  Too bad because there is a great taco stand in Albertacos nearby.  Their prices on drinks are okay too.  I will still be coming here whenever I am in town because there is nowhere else to go in Cypress, but I would prefer to go to some place in Long Beach for drinks.  Just sayin

Been here once a while back, the place is small and the crowd is old people. not that much fun, pool is fairly priced and beer is too. i guess its a win loose. tv screens are not really tv's there projectors! dart machine is bogus and some pool tables require quarters.

Except for the occasional weirdo this bar is alright. I mostly come here for UFC fights because they do not charge a cover fee. Seating can be difficult to find when packed and some people stand. I would recommend eating prior to coming here cause they food isn't good. They order pizza from Pappa Johns next door so... yeah. Also, this place in dimly lit so if you have low night vision bring someone to assist you. ;)

The number of TVs in that place is astounding. It's big and trendy looking. Unfortunately, they only have beer. If you order anything besides a beer they give you the stink eye. Plenty (and I mean plenty) of pool tables.

I started going here when my friend said they offer FREE UFC. They serve beers that I like and will keep me coming back due to the crowd of people enjoying MMA fights. There are a bunch of pool tables around here with a big screen projection in the middle of the bar offering almost life size action as if you were in the octagon.

My favorite bar in OC.  I go here every time the UFC fights are on.  There's no cover, beers are decently priced, and the staff is AWESOME! The crowd is very knowledgeable about MMA too.  Everybody was cheering when a fighter passed from guard to half guard. lol

First time here and i was impress. I love the big screen in the middle of the room that had the basketball game on at the time. Also they had a few dart boards, a few pool tables that are decent and a shuffle board table. Tons of beer to choose from and just a fun experience.

Overall a great experience and will come back if im in the area.

So I've lived in Cypress/La Palma area my whole life and I've always had the assumption that Campus Billiards was a trashy ghetto pool hall. But that wasn't the case when I went here for the first time last weekend. The place was clean and very spacious!! There's plenty of tables and dart boards, and even a shuffleboard table in the corner! And they had plenty of tv's to watch the games! Looks like a fun place to have a chill night to shoot pool and have a beer or two.

Only thing I was bummed about is the lack of a full bar. They do have a good selection of beer and some wine..but I'm not a big beer or wine drinker so I had to settle on a cider. So might want to sneak in a flask next time. HA!

This place is pretty spacious compared to your average pool hall. There's plenty of tables and TVs, a bar, a foosball table and an area where you can play darts! On top of that, in the middle of the bar there is a huge screen projection thing playing ESPN non-stop. Guy heaven.

In my opinion, Campus Billiards is best suited for a chill night out a.k.a playing some pool and maybe grabbing a beer or two. Not a great place to get slizzard since it's pretty dark, quiet and usually empty (The largest amount of patrons I've seen so far is about 10 total, and that was on a Saturday night too!)

They do however, have $1.25 sangria Saturdays! And the beer is pretty cheap too, although they don't have that great of a selection (mostly the basic domestic).

Despite lacking a fully loaded bar, I love coming here just to relax and have nice conversations.

Oh my god, I love pool! I wish Campus was located in San Diego, 'cause I would go there all the time.

I didn't get a chance to shoot pool the night I went though because I was there for something better - the super awesome "We want answers! Lost Finale Party CMYE". It was amazing.

The bar staff was very accommodating to a large group of Lost nerds. All of the TVs and the big screen were turned over to Lost, and they shut pool down during the show. It was effing brilliant! Thank you for making the finale party even more awesome than I imagined!

The only downside to the whole night, was the air freshener in the restroom. It was vanilla scented, which gives me a wicked headache. Which was kind of a plus, since it limited the number of beers that I had...

On a normal happy hour day its 2 schooners for $6.  Decent Deal.

The pool tables are in great condition, along w/ foosball, shuffleboard, and darts.  You can't go wrong!

I liked the JukeBox,  It had Digital Underground Sex Packets album.  Nothing like some 8 ball while listening to the humpty dance.

3 words: Tuesday $2.50 schooners. BEST DEAL EVERRRRRR!!!

Campus is great for game days, especially to watch Lakers playoffs. If it's not a Tuesday, schooners are $3 during the game. And, fortunately, Campus has great service! During the game servers would walk by and make sure you have a drink in hand (ok, maybe they don't push it...but they do ask if you want another drink if your glass/pitcher is empty).

I practically lived in Campus the past week and I'll admit I got a bit tipsy a few days, but when it's off cheap beer, who cares?!  Oh, and love that there's a bunch of dartboards. Drunken darts, who knew what I was missing out on?

I went here with Sean S. after we figured there wasn't much to do at night besides sit around at a café, drink, go-kart race, go bowling, eat, play pool, and eat more. So, we chose to play pool at this place, because it was relatively welcoming, showed great sports, and wasn't very far of a drive. Also, come here with the buds, not the boss.  Don't be overcritical here, because it's not fancy, but it is just another place for you to hang out and pass some time.

If you're coming here to only drink, don't. You come here for a casual time to play pool, shuffleboard, darts, and maybe grab a brew during a game. They have a HUGE projected screen in the middle of the place, which is very nice to see. It is welcoming, clean, and has a variety of patrons. Not all of them are your Orange County bros, as some as old, some are young, and some are college students from across the street. The place is for the locals, emphasizing its lack of care in being trendy. It isn't dive either, because they have shelled out for the TVs and other furnishings.

Pool can be cheap here, 7 bucks an hour.  I'd come back, as I have for many years when thinking of something to do. The other pool hall is Hard Times, and that place gets very packed compared to Campus. For that reason, I come to Campus, and also for anyone that may want a brew with their pool game.

Parking is easy here, with a popular frozen yogurt place next door, and a local favorite-Albertaco's about 30 yards away. Come here if you're easy going, not a city slicker, and don't care too much about your surroundings. Otherwise, seek out a trendier place on your radar.

Beer, pool & a jukebox... If your looking to simply hangout, pound some beers and play some pool then this is your spot.

Not a very lively place (at least the times I've been there), but who F-ing cares. Not coming here to dance.

I almost forgot their giant TV screen in the middle of the place which is hard to miss because its simply a large TV wall which is dividing the place in half.

You can get a pitchers of beer for about $10 bucks and their pool rentals are about $8 an hour.

Been here twice and haven't seen any large crowds, nor any annoying kids. Just what looked to me to be some locals enjoying some beers and playing some pool.

Overall, just simply a good, clean place to hangout and relax with the brohs!

PS: They also have some dart boards for your amusement and they let you bring in your own food which I found to be pretty cool.

    Campus Billards.....how I despise thee...

    wizzzzeak!!!

I tried to give you a number of chances....your deals on beer were so special!.....

I don't know if it's the lack of atmosphere....or...character...but this place isn't fun for me to be at....no cheap beer is worth me putting up with this crap....not when i can just head out to long beach...for drink deals and better company...the mix of kids who just found out the joys of drinking and being loud, or the cool...uhh...bro feeling I get when ever walking into this place, the terrible selection of music that gets played here from the juke box.......or..maybe a combination of hmmm...

but god damn it!.....If I didn't want to enjoy my beer...I could have gone to National's or one of those really crappy places that are located oh so conveniently around my house...that like to rip you out of precious hours of your life....abuse your humanity and leave you in the gutter...to later wake up with your pride no where in site..and your dignity around your ankles. (okay...that's a bit harsh i guess)...it's like the mental image of being collapsed on floor of the shower..with hot water pouring on you as you cry to yourself "it'll be okay" as you scrub and scrub and scrub!

I know people I know.........I'm obviously "missing out" because you all seem to dig it here.  But to me it's like watching someone stroke a cat in slow motion....it's not amazing...nor awesome....a cat lover would like to pretend it's great....but deep down...they know it's not.

I am 1st off not a sports bar fan...so that is one reason I probably don't like it here...

There aren't a ton of options when it comes to drinking locally...it's too..."O.C. hip" for me is the best way i can describe it.

the place is clean...and gets packed...

I knew this place wasn't for me when I saw some local "crappy list" people hanging out there...some...trying to be cool...i skate but not good...graffiti...yeah..i used to umm not really...pretend to be good at it...ex tweeker...or so I tell everyone, hey nice shirt...i got 3 just like it......folks...

hey to each their own...but if I wanted to hear Sublime every half hour or so....I'd....I'd......okay I lied...I wouldn't.

the people who worked there for the most part were pretty cool....although it has been a while since I have set foot in...a couple of my friends have been kicked out of here...

one because he reached over the register and pulled the receipt paper out to write a number down....apparently this will get you kicked out faster than a fight would....

another friend got kicked out for mouthing off to some guys in there who apparently were masters of the domain...too bad my friend is good at knocking people off their pedestal...

okay so maybe some of them are trouble makers....but I think of them more as..."Don't take Sh8%" makers.....

all in all...I can't say much would change with me...the elements are there for a cool hang out spot....

but well...I guess I am not too keen on the college scene....

all I can say is.....Rockers Beware.....you won't like it here.

Moving to a new city has many little treasures just around the corner..Campus Billiards is one of them. Came here to unwind w. the bf after an aftershock of delicious chocolate @ the Sweet Elite event. My bf wanted a place to watch Green Bay play so I suggested Campus.

My bf absolutely loved it..bar with beer & wine selections, few mixed drink items, tvs everywhere including a huge projection  screen in the middle of the place couces on one side & pool tables on the other side. I played a couple of games ..for a beginner I was alright but I still lost :p....

A few friends met us up to enjoy the game.. huge beer goblets  @ $3 & wine marked $3.75 a glass including free hot dogs count me in!! They also have darts & fooseball sweet....definitely will be coming back here for a pool rematch &  pretend to like football so my bf will actually hang out w. me this year lol ..good times

If you are looking to shoot pool only this is the spot to go for sure!

    Down sides...

    No Full Bar...Beer only.. :(
No Weekend entertainment.... we have to put money in the jukebox to hear some tunes...

Not a bad spot to chill... as far as entertainment and drinks go, I'd prefer the spot up the street on Lincoln... Red Fox.... but their pool tables suck.. haha...

My girlfriend is a big billiards fan. I'm a big beer on tap fan. This place works out for both of us. The bartender was extra friendly. I noticed people bringing in food from other places and told myself, "Self, make a mental note. This place is awesome!"

Can't wait to go back. Bring in some grub, drink down a pitcher and lose to my girl.

The excitement of a campus billiards night is great until you get there and realize that everyone around you is underage and ready to get into some sort of fight.

I admit, Tuesdays are the best days to go strictly for the prices on the beer, but just know that the cheap beer thing isn't a secret.  In fact, EVERYONE and their moms (literally) know about the cheap beer and this makes the place entirely too packed and ESPECIALLY with douchebags.

The best thing about this place?
    dart boards

Memories of the late nineties and a five-ball run while appreciating balls, sticks, racks and holes:  I had wanted to make this, my 50th review, something decent.  For quite a while now I knew this would be the place, only finding the words to do the experience justice had precluded the writing of this review.  Such a shame that I have been back for two years and had not done nothing so much as pass by Campus Billiards.

Tucked squarely inside a nondescript strip mall, inside these walls is a nice set of tables (clean, fast, tight, just the way daddy likes them) and a bar, while not hosting a supply of the hard stuff, certainly has enough to keep a weary soul occupied for an extended period of time.  Inside the venue one can't help but marvel at one of the largest screens outside of the CES in Vegas, and it is double sided no less.

Ordering grub from a nearby establishment and enjoying it inside with a cold beer only further seals the deal; unfortunate I can't give a six-star review.  I played a single game of pool, (a five ball run to sink the 8-ball had me on a hot streak) and I didn't want this to turn into an 80's sitcom where the socially awkward kid invites the cool kids over to shoot pool to show them that everyone is good at something; let the guests play.

About an hour into the event that things got really interesting for me; acknowledging that I haven't had a dream in seven years, since one of my earliest overseas adventures, I tend to daydream during the waking hours and sparked by nothing more than a sight, sound or smell, I'm there.  As GNR's "November Rain" started to play on the fully capable however awkwardly placed jukebox was when it happened.

Late evenings spent at a pool hall in Emeryville came flooding back, she was there, and I could see myself drinking a beer, burning a red, and shooting pool like I had done so many countless nights.  I miss that time so much, I miss the person I was then.  I am grateful that I was able to visit, at that moment, if only temporarily.  Thanks to the Yelpers who came out that night, I greatly and sincerely appreciate it.

"We've been through this such a long long time, just tryin' to kill the pain, but lovers always come and lovers always go and no one's really sure who's lettin' go today.  Walking away.  If we could take the time to lay it on the line I could rest my head just knowin' that you were mine, all mine, so if you want to love me, then darlin' don't refrain, or I'll just end up walkin' in the cold November rain..."

Erica C. and Hazel Q. commented on the overall experience and give proper ratings, I'll just throw in my two cents with more about the playing.

$8 bucks an hour is pretty resonable for an hours play here.  The layout is comfortable and there is good energy about, the bartender though could step up his game a bit and take more than one order at a time.  The waitress that night was friendly and had full beers coming to me pronto, she wasn't that busy..  I guess it's not that busy usually, the waitress shared this with me that it was real busy this night of tourney play.  And I did notice the waitress chatting me up more than I'm use to, she'd stand next to me when our conversation was stopped and we'd both watch the action at my table.  Did I have admirer????  Aw shucks! lol

I know that times are tough and this place is showing it with their tables, with this I mean the felts are completely worn out!  I'm no pool expert but I know a good table when I play on one and all of them need refitting!  The sticks were fairly good though, and there is a smaller coin table offered.  They also have a soft tip dart area that has 4 boards, it seemed popular the whole time we were there.  And near the dart area there is an older foosball table, the kind with a single goalie and metal goal pockets, there was a guy hanging out just playing that who I hit up for a game...  And bested!  Had to represent Yelpers!!  Metal goals = GLANG!! lol

2 stars for the venue, 5 stars being out with great yelpers!  :o)

About a year ago a few friends & I were on this huge pool playing kick. I'm pretty terrible at pool, but anywhere I can drink beer and have a good laugh while I suck at pool is a fun time for me. This place is definitely better than D&B which is where we would go most of the time. It's got a laid back vibe, we never had a problem getting a table, and no one really stood around looking at my terrible pool skillz.

Now I'm curious to go back because of this huge tv thing in the middle. It might distract me from my awesome game.

This is a great billiards hall.

When I think billiards, a certain image comes to mind.  Dark, gritty, dirty, and crowded.  When I think great billiards (a la Campus Billiards), I don't think any of those things.

Campus Billiards is a clean, modern take on a pool hall with all the staples:  pool, darts, shuffle board, and foosball.  Plenty of sticks, plenty of chalk, and even some chalk for the hands pepper the place, perfect for the person who just wants to go play some pool.

On top of the norm, there are also plenty of large screen TVs, including one of those fancy double-sided TVs you can see from the front and back (Um, 200 inches or something ridiculous?) complete with a lounge area and some comfy couches.

On top of the on top of the norm is the bar, which features some pretty reasonable prices.  Beer only (and soju, of course), but with decent enough prices to where I bought a couple.  The place doesn't have food, but compensates by allowing for outside food to be brought in, a very nice touch.

4 stars though because there might have been some drug dealers in the parking lot.  I found my experience to be pleasant, and would not object to returning should I feel the need to get hustled.

Hot damn! They fancified the shit out of this place. In the middle of the bar is a ginormous plexiglass screen thing. An uber-sized tv. It's fabulous! You know what else is fabulous? $10 pitchers! Being able to bring in Albertacos' carne asada fries! Hanging out with a few fabulous yelpers! Sucking at pool!

Oh, wait...that part isn't fabulous at all. I really, really suck.

Tuesdays are 2 dolla draft beer days.  Not just little bitty sippers, I'm talking scooners!

Great place to drink and hang out during the week.  It's pretty chill with lots of seating areas ( booths ).

It's a clean place with pool, darts, and SHUFFLEBOARD!!  Love the shuffleboard.  I try to stay away from the pool tables because I cannot make a shot on them cause the pockets are really tight.  They should have like a beginners table or something.

The juke box is one of those internet ones that you can play virtually any song every recorded. Thats awesome.

One last thing, they have TVs up the yayhoo!! It borders obnoxious
Seriously, giant screens everywhere you look.  And if you look hard enough youll even find a projection onto the ground which is odd but interesting.

Tuesday is 2 doller scooner days.  Nice!

Just to note... we did not order any food or drinks here.

    We played:
    2 games of pool - $2
    2 games of foosbal - $2
    1 game of dart throwing - $1

For a couple hours of hanging out and playing - total $5!
We had an awesome time... you can keep pretty busy here...watching the TV's and playing all the games.  The place is fairly clean and has lots of pool tables and dart machines.   Great cheap night! Thanks HazelQ for recommending this place.

    Playful Night Out:
    1) Campus Billiards (play Foosball, pool and darts)
    2) Get coffee at It's a Grind (in the same shopping center)
    3) Head over to Nickel Nickel (in the same shopping center)
    4) Finally head to Costco for a hot dog (2.7 miles away)

"They're so clean and smooth," she said playing with the balls.

I bent her over and guided her hands onto my shaft.  "Stroke like this," I told her, wrapping my hand around her hand, showing her how to properly hold it and pushing my shaft between her curled fingers.

"It's so long and hard," she said.  "Which hole should I put it in?"

"This one, sweetheart," I said, pointing my shaft and thrusting from behind.

"Ooo!  It barely went in," she squirmed with delight.

    "Yeah, tight pocket."

She put the stick between her lips and sucked.

"Sir, you can't do that in here."

I apologized and we finished our cigarettes outside.  "I think we're ready," I said.

"I'm so wet.  Let's go back so I can finish."  It was raining outside and she was up next in the Wednesday night tournament.  I lost in the fourth round, but it was grand playing on such good tables.  They were level, clean, fast--very fast--and with, of course, clean, polished balls.

This place is above all else... a POOL HALL.  So I will grade it as such.

The tables are nice and plentiful.  The service? ... I think it's good.  The guys here are really laid back - that's including the regulars that come in all the time...

"A bar fight is likely to break out at any given moment in this place." ... HUH?  Come on... seriously?  The place is really chill... I've never seen anyone start any trouble... and all the regulars are cool people.

I like coming here Monday evenings - 6pm to close it's $2 an hour for pool tables and you can't beat that!

If you like darts, there's a whole row of dartboards and I believe they hold regular tournaments as well.

Beer is pretty cheap and the place is clean...  I like Campus Billiards quite a bit.
