  Best mussels marinara I think I've ever had.  I enjoy the view of the lake and watching the boats being launced and retrieved at the marina next door.  Service is prompt and personable.
  
  The veal parm is equisite!  Tender and fresh with an perfect crunchy texture on the outside.  
  
  Really can't say enough about the marinara sauce.  I recommend it over the meat sauce - especially since the meat balls are so yummy.
  
  Worth the drive!

  I went today with my family to their $10 Sunday buffet. The owner, an authentic Italian immigrant from Sicily, came out and checked on us as we gobbled down his delicious food. The salad bar was fresh, the pizza crust crispy, and the pasta selection huge. Everything is homemade and fresh. The meatballs are big and juicy. They even had some cinnamon sugar dough puffs for dessert. My favorites were the penne palermo and the chicken piccata.  This restaurant's food is a real gem, especially compared to the typically mediocre food around Matoaca.

  This is a relatively new operation in a location that has had various resturants over the years.  The new owner has done a good job with the decor. In the summer especially, the view over Lake Chesdin is a nice bonus.  The menu has turned out to be qutie good and reasonably priced.  Service is friendly and attentive.  My wife and I have had a wide variety of the dinners and enjoyed them all.   Their Shrimp Diavolo is just right.  Their clams over linguini with white sause is excellent.
