Ping pong tables, air hockey tables, shuffle board, and a basket ball game! Karaoke happens here sometimes which is swell. You've got the option to play beer pong as well. The bar has a liquor store area which is nice.

The drinks here are not expensive and I suggest you to try Moonjoo's. It is jello shots that are not gelatin based.

By far my favorite bar in Seaside.  Drinks are cheap and there's always a game that's open to play.

I love starting the night at Captain Hooks Bar.  They are the perfect place to hang out with your friends and share a cheap pitcher of beer.  The decor is as the name suggests a pirate theme complete with a boat-shaped front bar.

They have a decent jukebox and the music is never overpowering.  They have tons of games including darts, air hockey, ping pong, beer pong, video games, pinball, skeeball and that basketball game where the hoop moves back and forth (I'm obsessed, I love that game!).  They have a projection screen and plenty of seating, usually something good on tv like family guy or the olympics.

There's never a cover and there's plenty of parking.  If I lived near here, I'd probably be here once a week.  It's a nice change from the other bars/clubs nearby, the kind of place you can just chill without getting all dressed up.

Toby Keith's song I Love This Bar had to be made after visiting this place. It sums it up in a nutshell

OH YEA! this is our kinda place.  A drinkers bar a block or 2 in from the boardwalk.  No food here but you can order in, just ask the bartenders for menus.  Cash Only, but the drinks are cheap and strong.  They have light up beer pong tables, plenty of pool tables, and of course our favorite, Ping Pong.  We felt comfortable right away and played a couple of games of Ping Pong.  The crowd seemed like everyone there was looking for a fun time.  The bartender was quick and the bathrooms clean.
This was a great spot and I think that we will return.

Captain Hook's was a stones throw away from our hotel in Seaside. We decided to get a drink while waiting for our room to open up, so we decided to kick it here and boy are we glad we did.

Captain Hook's became our Go To for the entire week and I already miss it!

The drinks are CHEAP ($14 for 4 drinks).... but keep in mind it's cash only! The pour is heavy. They have a bunch of video games. It's pirate theme'd. And... wait for it. Wait for itttt.

They have BEER PONG! Granted, you have to fill the cups with water (to make sure the place doesn't get nasty and reek which I give them major points for), but the lights under where you place your cups light up. AWESOME.

I was so sad to leave Seaside... mostly because of Captain Hook's. I'll see you again darnit!

If I owned a bar it would have all the features that this place has.  Pool tables, ping pong, beer pong, darts, air hockey and video games.  Cheap pitchers and a relaxed atmosphere.  Just don't leave cause the town goes down hill fast.

F MTV.  F the cast of the jersey shore.  F meatheads.

When I'm not killing it, winning stuffed animals for my bro-chicks left and right at the seaside heights boardwalk basketball games...I can be found getting tanked on miller lite at Captain Hooks....slurrin it up with the local surfers and beach bums.

There is nothing like drinking ice cold beers at noon with friendly bartenders, chillaxin patrons...AND ZERO FIST-PUMPING.

I'm almost positive that there was no scent of axe body spray in this whole bar...none...what.so.ever.

    Win.

The person who described this bar as a "Chuckie Cheese" for adults is right on point!  I came to Captain Hooks my first legal drink at the Jersey shore.  Their wrap around bar which is designed to look like a ship is pretty awesome.  A bar's jukebox can make or break it, and their's made the cut! They have one of those internet juke boxes which is nice because you have infinite song choices and great ones at that! (Built to Spill, Cursive, The Gaslight Anthem, and Frank Turner just to name a few)

The drink prices aren't too bad.  My boyfriend and I decided to order three pitchers of Bud Light for $7 each.  They also served pitchers of Bass for $9 each.

Their game selection is out of this world!  Choose from playing air hockey (it keeps score now),  darts, pool, and ping pong.  The air hockey table is probably the nicest one I've ever played.  The table's surface is made of stainless steel which makes the puck slide real smooth.

You will definitely find me in this bar again to have some cheap drinks and embrace my inner child.

Hooks is the perfect location for getting together and catching up with a group of friends. The place is large and open, with couches and many tables. Beer is cheap, as little as $2 a pint, $7 a pitcher. It's almost like Chuckie Cheese for adults, minus the pizza and robotic singing mouse. They have pingpong, tabletop shuffleboard, basketball, darts, foosball, pool, and a slew of typical bar arcade games. The music is chosen by the patrons on the jukebox. The bar has a parking lot that fits about 30 cars, so if you arrive early enough, you can get good parking. Best bar in Seaside Heights to avoid the stereotypical fist pumping of Seaside Heights, but younger crowd than Riggers.

Big beat up Jersey shore bar with video games, air hockey (doesn't keep score), a few pool tables, ping pong, that two-person basketball shooting game and a few couches.
For Seaside bars, this is the one to go if you don't want the drama you've seen on that MTV special about the Jersey shore.  There's plenty of those, like the Surf Club.
Mostly generic beers on tap, but they do have Bass and Guinness.
And had the weakest Jack and Cokes ever here.

Hooks!!!! ARRRR!!! - - - OK, well... no sound effects! Let me just stick to reviews, huh?

It's a typical Seaside Heights locale! It's pretty busy year-round, especially and naturally on the weekends. First of all, I want to say that this place is BIG! Not huge, but pretty freakin' big! There is a full wrap around bar, which probably seats around thirty to thirty-five local regulars, and tourists. Straight ahead you'll find a pool able or two, and some dart boards. About eight or nine tables, and some lounge chairs too! A dance floor, which is sometimes covered by tables, or whatnot!

Drinks are good, beer is reasonable. Cocktails are a little ridiculous though, about six dollars for a drink is crazy! That's not what pisses me off though. What really gripes my butt, is the entertainment. Once in a while they will have some music or something, but mostly not much at all! This type of place with the locale, and the size should have a live band at least three nights a week, if not five in the summer!

Definitely the potential to be a five-star drink spot... a guys just need to step up the music a little. Get that groove going!
