Came back here for pasta. Â The food was good. Â
I came in around 8:30 pm on a Saturday and sat in the dining area - so it was pretty died by that time in Woodbury for the non-bar area.
Service was fine.
I still have a problem with the pricing though. Â It's too expensive. I want to come here more, but I am paying a good 40-50% more here than other near-by restaurants and I
don't think the food merits the higher price. Â
With that said, I am increasing my rating to 3 stars, from 2.
My wife and I love this place. The atmosphere is pleasant. The service is excellent. The prices are fair. They have a decent draft selection and their wine list has something for everyone. Their specials are always tempting, but I am a creature of habit and usually have my favorite prosciutto wrapped asparagus salad with homemade balsamic vinaigrette. They also make their own pastas and pizza. It's so nice to have a great place to eat that is so close to home.
Review Source:My wife and I went to Carlito's on Friday 04/20/12 for dinner. The restaurant and atmosphere is nice. The biggest complaint I have is about the hostess. Don't get me wrong, she was a very nice young lady. However, she was dressed inappropriately for a business. Especially one that involves greeting customers. First impressions are everything and wearing a tank top with a thigh high skirt is a little to risky and unprofessional in my opinion. We both were seated promptly and service was fine. We both had the Cesar salad which was a large portion and made well. Carlito's had homemade pasta which I love to see and don't mind paying for. The fresh hot rolls for starters were awesome. For dinner, I got linguine and clams and my wife got the homemade raviolis. Both dishes were very good and the portions were good. We paid about $17 each for our meals. On the high side but again don't mind if it's homemade. Overall, it was good and would go back but Sale and Pepe's is still my favorite for Italian food.
