Food is frozen and usually not heated through!  Been there several times thinking it would change...wrong!  My bad!!!

For Corning, I give this 5 stars. I actually ate here for dinner and then took a few people with me to lunch the next day while on business. Chile Rellenos are terrific, fish tacos are made with grilled Mahi Mahi and the Carne Asada was also another treat.

Lunch specials are abundant and reasonably priced. Chips and Salsa...excellent.

Most importantly, the staff and management do a great job and service was found to be attentive and genuine.

Love this place! Great food, great service and they have my very favorite dish Pollo ala Crema! And since we live in an RV park they give us a 10% discount! But you better be hungry when you go there!

We recently stopped to eat at Casa Ramos because our past experiences were so good.  Unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time.  The service was ok.  That was after we waited at the front door to be seated while the host gabbed. The food taste like frozen fast food.  I'm not sure if it's under new management or ownership.  It definitely wasn't what it once was.

Service was horrible and food was pretty bad...manager spent most of the time we were there flirting with a couple of ladies instead of taking care of the other customers in the restaurant. I will never go back.

Food was so so but the service was excellent. I ordered the chimechunga (chix) and i couldnt finish it. It didn't taste bad but i just didn't care for it. The wait staff was awesome tho and made it a bit more enjoyable.

Stopped here while driving through. Late on Sunday, nothing else was open.

This place loves its $18 entrees. Not being that hungry, I ask for 3 'regular' chicken tacos. Off menu order, I'm thinking the usual double stacked soft tacos with grilled chicken and cilantro. Pretty standard fare for any Mexican restaurant south of Canada.

I get three hard shell chicken tacos. Whatever, I misjudged Corning and its appetite for authenticity. Grilled chicken turned in to mushy stewed chicken. You know, that shredded stuff that is super easy for restaurants to produce because they can just throw chickens in a pot for 8 hours and hit them with a stick blender.

I ask for a side of pico to add some flavor to the chicken mush/shredded lettuce/grated cheese tacos that a 5 year old might think to be exotic.

But whatever. I wasn't clear enough when ordering, I didn't research the restaurant, a lot of these things could be my bad. What isn't my bad and can not be excused away is the following:

    3 chicken tacos: $ 11.99
    Iced Tea:             $ 2.89

    SIDE OF PICO:  $ 2.99

I have NEVER given a 1 star review for a restaurant. I could order a salad and be given a steak and roll with it. But 20 bucks for 3 tacos and an iced tea?

    SCREEEEEEWWWWW YOOOOOUUUUU

I would have been better off finding a truck. This place wanted their dub out of me and they were going to get it one way or another. It might be a great fit for the locals who plan an exotic night on the town, but not as a stop for passers by or anyone who knows anything about Mexican food. Maybe their specials are good, but if they botch chicken tacos, I can't imagine the alternative.

    Service was okay.

First time here and what a find!! Service is as friendly as it gets, the restaurant is nice and very clean. The margaritas are super sized. I had the Carne Asada and it was perfect. A marinated skirt steak grilled to perfection. The sides, rice, re-fried beans and guacamole, were all right. Kudos to the hostess at the Best Western across the street for recommending the restaurant.

A second stop for the 4 of us. Atmosphere good, drinks good, food all tasty and good, except for my wife's Compusta- devoid of any meat and the lettuce was old and wilted. Thus, only 2 stars.

Good solid Mexican food with enough taste to satisfy. Good salsa and chips. Really good service too. The staff was gabbing a lot amongst themselves, which would annoy me if the service was even a little bit off. But it was perfect in fact, so I say, go ahead and chat and have some fun. I like it when the staff is happy AND does an excellent job!

The owner (or maybe manager) was very welcoming to us at 8:45pm. We asked if it was still ok to order some food since the sign said they closed at 9pm. He said sure, and that we would have at least an hour to eat our meal. No problem.

Now that's good business sense. He wins a nice review on google and yelp, plus I will definitely eat at this restaurant again when I pass through (this boring, dead little town).
