We heard rave reviews about this place but were deeply disappointed. We came for lunch and had salads, the tomatoes were old and pink looking and the avocado on my Cobb salad was actually black! Gross! The service was subpar, I stood at the counter forever as the wait staff looked right at me without any acknowledgement! Don't waste your time or money here.

We love this place and visit it every time we go to the area, which is often since we have a condo nearby and ski or hike in the White Mountains regularly.  I love their coffee so much that I call them and have them ship it to me if I run out of my stock at home.  Their personal blend, Old Man Joe is so unique that I get comments from others when I have my carry mug of coffee with me.  They also have delicious gluten-free options on their breakfast and lunch menus and are always adding new items.  Last but not least their staff is always very nice and accommodating.

We came here starving one morning. There are no alterations ( even TINY ONES), because the eggs and breakfast menu is all pre made and microwaved. Not very cute or homey. I got a muffin and asked them to heat it on the grill and it came to me cold but cut in half, I was very confused. My boyfriends' bagel was gross too. The best part was the couches.
I realize this is in a less populated area but that doesn't mean money for good food is worthless. Seemed so cutesy but premade menu is disgusting. And microwaves make it even worse.

Maybe the coffee and baked goods are what got all the amazing reviews here in the past. I felt like I was back on Cape Cod with mediocre food at overly high prices. I really hoped this would be a nice little stop off the highway and an alternative to being forced to eat at a chain restaurant, but my husband and I were disappointed. Our bill was $18 and we both left still hungry. I got a vegetable panini that had pink tomatoes, spinach, cukes, onions, and cheese on plain old whole wheat sandwich bread. For as much as it cost, that thing should have been overflowing with vegetables of all kinds. And a bag of Lay's potato chips? Way to take the entire small town, natural, local food feel out of the entire meal. My husband got a wrap with turkey and avocado that was also on the light side. If one of the main ingredients is avocado, you might make it at least visible in the sandwich.

Don't bother stopping in North Woodstock for food and drink. This was the most hopeful looking place that didn't scream tourism and we were fully disappointed.

I came here after hiking through the Lost River for a quick snack before heading home. Directed by the 5 star review, I had to check it out. The owners were behind the counter and they were extremely sweet and patient, making me want to give  them 5 stars on the spot. The ice tea was delicious, freshly brewed and we were given fresh lemons. I ordered the clam chowder and it was quite delicious and clearly homemade.  Such a nice experience, stop in if you can.

The sandwiches here are great. There are 27 listed, and 5 are vegetarian and potentially vegan (leaving off the cheese). We particularly liked the portobello veggie burger. Two of the three soups are also vegan. Breakfasts are equally creative; I had an egg-portobello wrap. I also enjoy coming by in the morning for coffee and pastries. It's the kind of place where you can sit inside or outside for as long as you want, watching the people on the street pass by.

I should probably give this place 4 stars, but the warm out of the oven chocolate croissant makes this a 5 star place for me.  Comfortable feel.  Self-serve coffee with several different flavors.  Decent prices.  Good breakfast sandwiches and pastries.  But, the warm chocolate croissant won me over.

Cascades Coffee House looked interesting from the outside, so after a late lunch my friend and I stopped in for a coffee and were not disappointed! Jody, the owner, made our specialty coffees for us. I had an Americano with steamed milk--the milk was perfectly steamed and the coffee delicious. We really enjoyed our visit and will go back every day that we are in the neighborhood.

A great spot!! Went here for lunch with several members of my family, and we were all very happy with what we had.  I loved the portabella wrap- all fresh veggies, toasted to perfection with melty cheese. Yummmm. Very casual and cute place. Great sandwiches and soups! Unfortunately, I didn't get to try any of their drinks, but I'll definitely be back and try them next time! Not a huge fan of the tomato soup, but it was definitely homemade so I'll give them that!

Excellent breakfast and lunch, and good coffee too. Very comfortable and down to earth place. Settle into one of the big couches with a morning coffee, flip open your computer to jump on the wi-fi, and man, Starbucks can't compare.

For lunch I particularly recommend the chicken wrap..lots of interesting stuff added in...

Once again for my annual winter trip to Woodstock the Cascade was the 5 star experience I needed and thoroughly enjoyed my morning trek there. The owner and the ladies who work there are very friendly and make you feel appreciated you're spending your money there.

The breakfast sandwiches are super, the baked goods are great, and the coffee is fresh and hot.

Love Cascade Coffee House!  Service is always great.  I love the make your our coffee bar.  The chocolate, hazelnut cinnamon coffee is delicious.

The food is also fabulous.  I always go back when my boyfriend and I come up to visit friends.

I got a peppermint patty frappe that I thought was a little too sweet (but that didn't stop me from finishing it; there was a nice layer of chocolate fudge sludge at the bottom of the cup that was a nice bonus when I got to the bottom) and my wife got a decaf latte that she thought was about average. It's certainly an interesting place inside and the staff was very friendly and helpful so if you're looking for a shot of caffeine or sugar, this is a fine choice along the strip in North Woodstock.

While en route to the Franconia ridge in a desperate search for caffeine, Mark and I stumbled into the Cascade Coffee House, hoping for a halfway decent cup of coffee and a restroom. To our surprise, the sign on the wall touted their gluten free bread options for sandwiches. Excitedly I said to the waitress, "wow, you have gluten free bread." "We don't just have gluten free bread" she replied and proceed to rattle of the dozen or so baked good options they offered. So many options, how could I choose. We decided given the 8 hour hike ahead of us, we could get 2 baked goods, so we ordered a blue berry muffin and a whoopie pie.

At the end of our 8 hour hike, we emerged from the woods to claim our reward. The blue berry muffin was delicious. Some muffins are over berried and some you barely get any berries. This was the perfect ratio of dough to berry with no overly sugary top to make your teeth hurt. The whoopie pie wasn't my favorite but that wasn't the whoopie pie's fault, it just wasn't really my thing. Having never eaten a whoopie pie I didn't really know what to expect. The frosting was a little to sweet for my liking but Mark enjoyed this baked delight.

All in all, we give this coffee house 4 paws up! Friendly service, gluten aware, very clean, awesome food, and now another great reason to hike in New Hampshire.

I love Cascade!  We make sure to stop here whenever we stay at the Woodstock Inn.  It's really nice, comfortable, and clean inside.  They have sandwiches, desserts, coffees, teas, etc.

One thing I love is that they have lots of board games and decks of cards!  We'll sit there playing Spit and Uno for hours on a cold winter's day!
